Logan Paul Reveals How Shane Dawson Inspired His New Video | Hollywoodlife
Transcript
00:00Logan Paul reveals new details about his Flat Earth documentary,
00:06plus LP and crew walk on eggshells in a podcast with The Slut Whisperer.
00:13Hey guys, it's Allie for Hollywood Life, and before we jump into the news,
00:16shout out to Sexual Jumanji for taking a look through our beauty box.
00:21We really appreciate the support.
00:22And remember everyone, you can find Mr. Jumanji over on Twitch,
00:25and you can get our beauty box for 20% off until the end of March.
00:29So, link for that is down below.
00:31I love the stuff in there.
00:32But alright, let's get into the YouTube stuff.
00:34Despite not being allowed to have adult film stars on Impulsive anymore,
00:37the guys brought on controversial figure, Kirill.
00:40And this is by far the most serious episode yet.
00:43Initially, I gave that title to the episode where Logan apologizes for his male-only March comment,
00:48but with Kirill, LP was really tiptoeing around every subject for fear of what might get him in more trouble.
00:54Kirill has a reputation for his party lifestyle,
00:56and his service of covering half-naked girls in alcohol,
01:00and throughout the episode, he talks about what it's like to be such a controversial figure in an ultra-sensitive world.
01:05It's interesting and honestly kind of sad to see Logan hold back his thoughts so much.
01:09LP goes as far as apologizing each time he almost cracks a smile at something Kirill says,
01:15and continuously tosses disclaimers to his viewers to distance himself from Kirill's views.
01:21There are also some odd jump cuts in certain spots that have me curious about what they cut out.
01:25However, one of the most interesting moments involves Spencer,
01:28who gets really emotional and at one point challenges Kirill out of nowhere.
01:32People like to laugh until it hits home, and then they start giving you scrutiny.
01:37Now they're like, now you're not telling jokes, now you're telling facts when it comes to them.
01:41And it's like, dude, we're all just, if you want to be equal, we all got to be able to be made fun of.
01:44I think that my argument to that, though, is that that's really easy to say if you're a white male.
01:51Why? You can make jokes, I mean, if I'm discriminating.
01:53Like, you don't know the oppression that the other side of the table has been through.
01:57Yeah, but my joke.
01:58And you can't relate to it.
02:00You can't.
02:02I mean, you don't know.
02:03You weren't one of them.
02:04Like, I can make a joke about, I can talk about anything without talking down to that group of people.
02:09I'm just saying we're all the same.
02:12In this together.
02:12That's a fine line, though, because, like, you're saying that, but you're also a white male.
02:17But Impulsive wasn't Lolo's only podcast this week.
02:20The vlogger hit up Corridor Digital to get visual effects for his upcoming Flat Earth documentary,
02:25and the guys agreed to help Logan out if he agreed to be on their podcast.
02:29During his time on Corridor Cast, Logan reveals that the documentary was originally slated for December 15, 2018,
02:36but now he hopes to drop it in early February.
02:38Right after that, LP explains this documentary is his best work,
02:43and he's hoping it'll make a Shane Dawson-level splash on YouTube.
02:46This is the greatest thing I've ever made in my life.
02:49It's, uh, it's, I think it's, if, if, uh, received properly, it will, like, send a tidal wave through YouTube.
02:58I want to do what Shane, what Shane does, you know, you know, when Shane drops, uh, whatever, anything he's dropping now.
03:04Shane Dawson, new, like, conspiracy series, uh, whatever it is, it pops.
03:08And if it's received like that, which it should, uh, be because it's fucking incredible, uh, yeah, that would be nice.
03:16Logan Paul reveals his documentary was not a hidden camera production,
03:19and everyone knew that he was doing this at the Flat Earth convention.
03:23However, one of the main speakers at the event was so upset at Logan's presence that he refused to speak and left.
03:29After shooting the podcast together, the Corridor crew showed Logan the VFX they were working on,
03:34and I gotta say, they're looking pretty damn good.
03:37LP was also impressed and gave them the thumbs up to start the render.
03:40This doc is so close, the excitement is eating me up inside.
03:43But, alright guys, hit the sub, like, and bell button.
03:45Comment if you're excited for Logan's documentary, and follow me on social media at Ali Stegnita.
03:50Bye guys.
