Could the 40-year-old Brit retire from F1 after a torrid season with Ferrari?
Transcript
00:00He's one of the greatest sports figures of this century.
00:03There's Ali, of course, there's Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods,
00:07but he will be at that level, at the top, worldwide.
00:15I don't approach anything with an expectation,
00:17but it's definitely, I try to imagine it,
00:20and it's that and so much more.
00:30I think we all, me included, had too high expectations,
00:43because we saw this coming, the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton,
00:47a goat, you know, going to Ferrari, to the most iconic Formula One team.
00:52I almost say dreaming, but I think we all had the expectations too high,
00:56and then, obviously, beginning of this year, reality hits.
01:00I think he's holding his head above water at the moment,
01:15but I think it's a question of motivation.
01:18You know, if he gets to the point where he's exhausted by the whole thing,
01:22then it's going to be very difficult for him.
01:24You can't win that many world championships and not be recognized as an all-time great.
01:49But, you know, some people get off at the wrong time, you know?
01:53They carry on and want to hold on to it and hold on to it until, you know, they lose that,
01:59what people think, in a way.
02:01They forget some of the other stuff that happened before.
02:04Is Lewis going to walk away? I don't think so.
02:06I think he has pride and he has that competitiveness that he wants to do well
02:12and he cannot finish on the season like he just did.
02:14So, my guess is he's going to be here in 2026, but 2026 could be one of his last.
02:20his last November.
02:25he didn't get it in!
