00:00We have an update on Pete Davidson gushing over Ariana Grande on SNL.
00:07One of Ari's exes, Ricky Alvarez, reacts to her breakup song, plus Ari reveals that therapy saved her life.
00:17Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life, and Ariana Grande's newest song, Thank You, Next, has inspired a whole new meme.
00:23Twitter turned the lyrics about her exes, one taught me love, one taught me patience, and one taught me pain, into hysterical memes that can apply to pretty much anything and everything, like flavors of potato chips or Shrek.
00:36But perhaps the song's biggest message is about the importance of self-love, as Ari sings, I met someone else and her name is Ari.
00:44Ari's brother, Frankie Grande, told E! News how it was so beautiful for her to sing that, and that she's really feeling empowered.
00:51She's so, so unbelievably happy. We are happy that she is happy, and that message is just so powerful, and it's helping other people, too.
00:59Like, she's helping other people get through difficult times and difficult breakups, and I think that that's really the best part about this whole thing, is being able to help another person.
01:07But alright, from the horrific bombing at her Manchester concert, the death of her ex, Mac Miller, and her split from Pete Davidson, Ariana has had a difficult few months.
01:17She recently opened up about how she was able to get through it all, revealing in a tweet that she went to therapy.
01:23She said, in part, it saved my life so many times. If you're afraid to ask for help, don't be. You don't have to be in constant pain, and you can process trauma.
01:31It looks like Ari's been channeling her feelings into music, as her new track alludes to her exes and heartbreak.
01:37In fact, one of her exes, Ricky Alvarez, circa 2015-2016, just reacted to her song by posting this video of himself, listening to it, and zoomed in when his name was mentioned.
01:49Ari even jokingly said that he was given the worst line, but it was meant v-lovingly.
01:55So I think it's safe to say there's no bad blood here, because he then said he's grateful and that her song was fire.
02:01Friendly exes. Maybe I should call mine.
02:03Now, as we previously reported, Ari said she let her exes preview the song before it was released, which happened moments before SNL aired, during which Pete shared some kind words about his ex.
02:14I know some of you are curious about the breakup, but the truth is, it's nobody's business, and sometimes things just don't work out, and that's okay.
02:21She's a wonderful, strong person, and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world.
02:25This was apparently a last-minute change, as TMZ's reporting he heard Ari's track early and wanted to add in a few lines to address their breakup.
02:33The site claims he even ran it by Lorne Michaels and got it approved right before his segment.
02:38The site also says the joke about candidate Dan Crenshaw looking like a porn movie hitman was written in the script,
02:44but Pete made it much worse by improvising those last couple of lines, which we're not going to play because they weren't the nicest.
02:50So, hashtag thank you next.
02:53But alright guys, hit the sub, like, and bell button, and let us know how you've been turning Ari's lyrics about her exes into memes.
