43:47But for those of you who don't know it,
43:49here's the short version.
43:53My parents were both junior hockey coaches.
43:57And they were hit by a drunk driver
43:59when I was 12 years old.
44:02Mercifully for them, they died instantly.
44:05Mercifully for me,
44:06the St. Thomas Scholarships existed.
44:12I didn't have anybody else to help me.
44:16I had a lot of memories,
44:17a love of hockey,
44:19and a huge hole in my heart.
44:23St. Thomas filled it with hope.
44:25The hope of a new family.
44:28Things weren't always easy.
44:31You know, they never are for anybody.
44:32But in hockey, I found what I was missing.
44:38First at my high school,
44:39then later at college,
44:40and now here with the Admirals.
44:42And I never looked back
44:44because I never had to.
44:49The family I craved,
44:51the family that I needed,
44:52that I still need today,
44:56hockey gave it to me.
44:59And St. Thomas gave me hockey.
45:00So from the bottom of my heart,
