Unreleased recordings by a North Carolina band. In 1968, Stephen Scott, who had previously played in bands like Homer & The Donuts and Ladies WC in his native Venezuela, moved to the States and joined Speed Limit 35. The band rehearsed at a club called The Zoo and performed covers of Jimi Hendrix and Cream. In April 1970, the band opened for Steppenwolf at the Columbia Coliseum. The success of the concert brought the band to New York, where they recorded a demo at Mercury Studios. In 1971, an Off-Off-Broadway writer and director saw the band and invited them to perform at the Campus Club South. He was so impressed that he invited them to record the music for a musical. But nothing came of the venture... The music on this album was recorded between 1970 and 1971, partly in the studio and partly during a concert with Steppenwolf in April 1970.
