The Indonesian Legal Aid and Human Rights Association (PBHI) is the 2025 recipient of the Asia Democracy and Human Rights Award. Chair Julius Ibrani accepted the award on behalf of the human rights defenders his organization supports.

01:39Lai also recognized that this marks the first year that town's democratic era has lasted longer than its years under martial law.
