00:00Remember that potentially game-changing Luigi Mangione court hearing I told you about last week?
00:05Yeah, it's still going on. We knew it was going to be a long one, but it's been days now. That said,
00:13we're getting some really good intel from it, like the fact that police found bullets wrapped
00:18in wet underwear inside his backpack. Wet with what? I don't know, and I'm not sure I want to
00:24know. Authorities also said they found notes that Mangione wrote, a kind of a to-do list that
00:29included a reminder to, quote, pluck eyebrows. Remember, everyone on pretty much planet Earth
00:37was noting the signature bushy brows in those surveillance photos that police released while
00:42looking for the UnitedHealthcare CEO killer. Elsewhere on that note, under the heading future to-do,
00:47two items, intel check-in and survival kit. He also scribbled down the names of Ohio City's
00:53Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. Now, if I were to venture a guess on that one,
00:57considering he's said to have fled from Manhattan to Western PA, Ohio was likely his next destination.
01:03Now, this hearing continues today, and I'll update you on any developments.
01:08What would make your travel experience better when going through one of the nation's airports?
01:14No lines? Being able to take a bottle of water? How about better food? Health and Human Services
01:19Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy are spending a billion bucks
01:25to try to help make things smooth sailing or flying, as it were. The two cabinet secretaries
01:30have announced a new program that aims to make the travel experience better and healthier for
01:34American families. Things like nutritious food options, which, you know, great, but can they be
01:39cheaper too? They're also offering more breastfeeding facilities and even workout facilities.
01:45And in case we've never seen or heard of a gym, RFK and Duffy went ahead and showcased a workout
01:51for us. Yeah, Hans and Franz were ready to pump you up with the really, for real, they did this
01:57in front of cameras and people, pull-up contest at an airport. That's precisely what air travel is
02:05missing. When I'm wedged in a middle seat in the back of a plane next to the bathroom, I also want to
02:10be sitting between two out-of-breath middle-aged men who just soaked through the three-piece suits
02:15the Transportation Secretary would also like us to wear when we travel. Okay, but better food?
02:20I can totally get on board with that.
02:22I fly typically over the past 30 years, probably average 250 days a year in airports. And I can tell
02:30you that this is where healthy diets go to die.
02:34Airports can apply for grants from that $1 billion pot to improve the travel experience. Like, say,
02:40adding more salad vending machines from a company like Farmer's Fridge, who happened to be at the
02:45event today. Vending machine? Anything is not really what I had in mind for improved food options.
02:50Now, Duffy said he was intentionally leaving the guideline for those grants vague. Well, I don't
02:55love that part, but maybe, just maybe, they can allocate a few bucks to give a girl a decent gluten-free
03:02option. A wealthy American student stabbed his girlfriend to death in her London apartment
03:07after a blow-up fight. So, what's a bougie Nepo baby to do? Well, call daddy, of course, because
03:15daddy's lawyer can surely get him out of this one. 26-year-old Joshua Michaels from Chicago killed
03:2131-year-old Xi Wang after she accused him of giving her an STI. Now, the murder took place back in 2024,
03:27but we have learned a lot more about how it went down this week after Michaels was convicted.
03:32He claims that Wang came at him with a knife and he killed her accidentally while he was trying to
03:38defend himself. Yeah, nobody bought that either. The couple had dated for about six months before
03:43finally deciding to consummate their relationship. And now, here is where things get weird. The victim
03:50was a self-confessed germaphobe, and she gave Michaels strict instructions on how to enter her
03:55apartment, then clean himself, and put on a condom before coming into the bedroom where she was
04:00waiting. After their encounter, the one and only time they had sex, she developed a rash and blamed
04:06him. Prosecutors said that even after he'd stabbed and choked her, Wang may have lived had Michaels called
04:13for an ambulance. But looking to save his own ass, the killer's first call was to his father, a VP of
04:20sales strategy at a company in Chicago, to get the contact details for a lawyer. Then he got around to
04:27calling an ambulance. Too little, too late. For more on these stories and everything else you could
