❄️ Fresh snow covered the land this morning, and the forest opened its storybook. Every creature left its mark — fox, deer, hare, and countless unseen travelers. I walked into a patch of woods filled with hundreds of tracks crossing and weaving like ancient signs written across the snow.

Out here, you are never alone. The land is alive, speaking in quiet ways to those who know how to look. 🌲

00:00This is Vilka Yak from Barefoot Bushcraft, and one of the things I love about coming out
00:04after a new fresh snowfall is you can see what actually goes on in the forest
00:09when you're not here. Although they're not here now, look at all the animal tracks.
00:16You can see them all there. Little tracks. That's probably a squirrel or something.
00:22Something else in there. It's so cool that the forest itself always tells a story. Look at
00:29that set of tracks. That's all single line tracks. You can see little animals have gone
00:35over there and over there. I mean, how cool is that?
00:44Always remember, you are never alone in the forest, and there is always animals around
00:49watching you and tracks of animals. So if you're interested in the story that every forest has to
00:54tell, if you're fortunate enough to live in a place that does get snowfall, try to be the first one on
00:59the trails or on your land, when just after a nice snowfall, and you'll get to see all those
01:05really cool tracks that you can see right behind me there, and listen to the story of the forest
01:10as it starts to unfold right before your eyes.
01:13Thanks for watching.
