00:06but sometimes the fam likes to, um, step out of their comfort zone

00:10and live like common people to sometimes hilarious or embarrassing effect.

00:17She just wishes that she could, like, just live a normal life.

00:21Number one, getting groceries.

00:24On a recent episode of Hulu's The Kardashians,

00:26Kylie Jenner and mom Kris decided to spend the afternoon doing normal things.

00:31I just think when I'm pregnant, I just want to feel really normal.

00:34And just what do those normal things entail, you might wonder.

00:37Well, for the Kar-Jenners, it's going to the grocery store,

00:41something that Kris Jenner admitted she had not done in two, that's right, two years.

00:46Kris tells the camera that the main reason why she hasn't shopped for her own groceries in so long

00:50is privacy, or rather the lack of whenever the family is seen out in public.

00:54As it turns out, the trip turned into an ecstatic experience for the mother-daughter duo,

00:59as things like pushing a shopping cart, spotting tater tots,

01:02and inserting their credit card into a chip reader was, as they put it, so fun.

01:06By the way, Kris didn't know how to use the chip reader.

01:09Womp womp.

01:10And beamed proudly as Kylie returned a shopping cart to its rightful place.

01:14You're doing amazing, sweetie.

01:16The comments on Twitter?

01:17Well, many were not so enthralled with the mother-daughter antics.

01:20As one commenter points out, I love reality TV because it's ridiculous and total escapism.

01:25But am I really watching Kris and Kylie marvel over grocery shopping and pumping gas in a cost-of-living crisis?

01:31Don't get me started on Kravis.

01:33This episode is unhinged.

01:36Number two, going through the car wash.

01:38And if Kylie and Kris thought shopping was a blast,

01:41you should check out their total wonderment as they go through a car wash.

01:44Much to her surprise, Kris got to even sit inside the car as they went through the wash.

01:48This is like Disneyland.

01:50No doubt car washes are cool, but Disneyland?

01:53How out of touch can you be?

01:55And while the episode garnered all sorts of reactions from viewers,

01:58ranging from outrage to amusement, there is something, well, sad about it all.

02:03As if being disconnected from the rest of society deprives you of simple experiences,

02:08a sentiment that is best highlighted when Kris says,

02:10This is the best $12 we've ever spent.

02:13But of course, that doesn't take away from groaning and watching the car Jenner's delight

02:17in doing the mundane things the rest of us have to do.

02:21Number three, buying Stormy a school bus.

02:23When the car Jenner's can't take a day trip out to delight in normality,

02:27sometimes they buy it and bring it in.

02:29As was the case when Travis Scott and Kylie possibly bought their daughter Stormy a school bus

02:34so that she would feel more regular?

02:37For most of us, the yellow school bus was a sweaty ride full of bumps and even bullies.

02:41For Stormy, it's an adventure, I guess.

02:44Kylie posted to Instagram,

02:45All Stormy has been talking about is riding a big yellow bus.

02:49Daddy surprised her.

02:50As to whether or not the bus was rented or purchased, we don't know.

02:53But Twitter had plenty to say.

02:55Some commenters accuse the pair of cosplaying middle class life.

02:58Or as one user puts it,

03:00Rich people are literally so far from reality they bought a school bus for Stormy to sit on.

03:06Number four, Kendall vs. The Cucumber.

03:09Also on a recent The Kardashians episode is Kendall Jenner's unfortunate brush with a cucumber.

03:15The scene starts out as it does in most American homes,

03:18Kris asking Kendall if the chef should prepare something for her.

03:22Kendall insists she's got it and then proceeds to take out a cucumber.

03:25It becomes pretty clear by Kris's puzzled reaction that in fact,

03:29Kendall has no clue how to cut it.

03:31The scene had Twitter howling.

03:33One commenter says,

03:34Watching Kendall Jenner cut a cucumber is one of the most painful things I've ever seen.

03:38Maybe do leave the food prep to the chef, Kenny.

03:42Number five, Disneyland Womp Womp.

03:44Taking the fam to Disneyland?

03:45Sure, that's a pretty regular thing to do.

03:47There's the rides, the ice cream treats, and of course, the lines.

03:51But if you're a Kardashian,

03:52let's just say that you have a very different experience of the park

03:55than the rest of your fellow parents.

03:57Kim and Khloe took their daughters to the amusement park for True Thompson's fourth birthday.

04:00But Angry Park guests fumed over and even filmed the famous family

04:04cutting the line on the teacup ride

04:06and then having the whole attraction to themselves.

04:09The special privileges that come with fame, I guess.

04:11In a video posted to TikTok,

04:13mom Rachel Kevin showed what went down at Disneyland,

04:16commenting over the footage with,

04:17When the Kardashians cut the line,

04:19get the ride to themselves and make us common folk wait and watch them.

04:23So typical.

04:24This video is pretty awkward.

04:25I mean, Khloe and Kim, you do know this isn't a good look, right?

04:28Number 6, Kim going out for pizza with Pete.

04:32It's no secret that ever since Kim K started dating Pete Davidson,

04:36we've seen the reality TV star not acting quite like her Kanye-era self,

04:40opting for a more styled-down fashion and even dates.

04:44In January, while Ye was doting on then-romantic interest Julia Fox

04:48with closets full of new clothes,

04:50Kim was eating a slice of pizza with Pete in a low-key New York joint.

04:54But despite the casual nature of the date,

04:56the two still managed to attract plenty of attention from the paparazzi and the public alike.

05:01But unlike perhaps previous Kardashian attempts at normality,

05:04this one seemed to gather more aws than boos.

05:08As one fan states about seeing Kim out with Pete,

05:10honestly, it's the natural things to her that seem so peaceful and good.

05:14It feels natural.

05:15Number 7, a stroll through Target.

05:18Target is a magical place.

05:19We all know this.

05:20And apparently, it is for Kim Kardashian as well,

05:23as the billionaire enjoyed a stroll through the store with daughter Chicago.

05:27Kim shared the event on her Instagram stories and captioned it,

05:31Love a Target day with my shy shy.

05:33Never mind that Kim could probably buy out the whole store with the wave of a checkbook.

05:37The mother-daughter also ran into cousin True and auntie Chloe.

05:40Also, maybe even suspiciously,

05:42on a normal person outing to the big chain store.

05:46Are they trying to convince us that they're just like us?

05:49Number 8, Kim's Practical, Not-So-Practical Business Advice.

05:53It seems like whenever a car Jenner so much as sneezes,

05:56we plebs get to hear about it.

05:58Now when they administer some pretty out-of-touch business advice as Kim did,

06:02we get to be steamed about it.

06:04Kim, Chris, and Chloe sat down with an intensive interview with Variety

06:07about their booming business empire.

06:09When Kim was asked for advice for other women in business,

06:12the reality TV star answered with,

06:13I have the best advice for women in business.

06:16Get your effing butt up and work.

06:17It seems like nobody wants to work these days.

06:20The comment immediately got negative attention from commenters online,

06:24who were quick to point out that Kim was hardly a self-starter,

06:27but in fact, the daughter of wealthy lawyer Rob Kardashian.

06:30Or as one commenter succinctly tweeted,

06:32I love when people who are born to obscenely rich,

06:35highly networked, and well-connected parents

06:37pontificate about the importance of work.

06:40Kim girl, no doubt you've worked hard,

06:41but you may want to think things through just a little more

06:44before giving business advice to people who were not born rich.

06:48Number nine, Kylie and Kendall go incognito.

06:51Remember in 2016 when Kylie and Kendall just wanted to live like common people,

06:55but their recognizability and fame just wouldn't let them,

06:58so they had prosthetic masks made so they could go full incognito in public?

07:02So do we, and we're still thinking about it too.

07:05Khloe also got in on the fun,

07:07and after some heavy use of prosthetics and makeup,

07:09the three went out on a Hollywood bus tour as their alter egos,

07:12and giddily recorded the excursion on Snapchat.

07:15But the jig was up.

07:16Turns out paparazzi and fans spotted the famous ladies all the same,

07:19and the three escaped to safety on a Beverly Hills property.

07:23Number 10, Kylie posts her driver's license online.

07:26Most driver's license photos and passport photos are cringeworthy,

07:29but if you're Kylie Jenner,

07:31you somehow get to bypass the whole embarrassing experience,

07:34and looking like you would on the red carpet.

07:36Out of nowhere, Kylie posted her driver's license photo on Instagram.

07:40The reasons remain unclear,

07:41but had fans gag nonetheless by how, well, flawless Kylie looked,

07:46or as one commenter put it,

07:48why can't all my ID photos look like this, lol.

07:51On Reddit, rumors circulated that the photo was indeed touched up,

07:54but as one astute commenter mentions,

07:56reminds me of the scene when Khloe got her pick done for her license

07:59and took a professional ring light to the DMV office.

08:02Kylie probably did the same, and took her glam team with her too.

08:05We'll have to live with the mystery, I guess.

08:07I love a good colander, because you can get a facial look.

08:15that their attempts of living like common people for entertainment
