01:32Now today we're in Ohio where the top 8 drivers will battle it out once again.

01:54We are here at Dragway 42, located in West Salem, Ohio.
02:00This is our first time here.
02:02It is a very beautiful facility.
02:03This track opened its doors in 1957 and it is just an hour south of Cleveland.
02:09We're a lot closer to sea level, which is a huge change after spending a few weeks in the mountains and even in Vegas.
02:15It's also cooler than the temperatures we've been dealing with.
02:18Lower elevation and cooler temps means the engines can breathe easier and produce more horsepower.
02:23Every driver will have to make big adjustments to what they've been doing.
02:26Right now, Kai Kelly is still sitting number one in points, but last week he went out in the very first round, which means he gained no points whatsoever,
02:35which allowed other drivers to make up some ground.
02:38Here's how it works.
02:39If you win the grade 8, you get 10 points.
02:41Plus, you also get $10,000.
02:44If you runner-up, you get 7, and if you make it to the semifinals, you will get 3.
02:48Those points go towards an individual championship that will be worth $100,000 at the end of the season.

05:40I've never even raced Nate, so honestly, I'm kind of excited to see where we stack up against
05:45each other because we're so close in points, so it should be a pretty even matchup as long
05:49as both cars make the trip.

16:17The rear end is making like a, when we go back down pit road,
16:21you can hear a knocking noise.
16:23So we switch the gear.
16:24Usually when that happens, the housing's bent.
16:27So in Colorado, we had added compression to the engine,
16:30changed the stator.
16:31So we just ran the same stuff in Vegas.
16:34Coming here, the air is a lot better.
16:36So we're going back to our old setup.
16:38And for some reason, the car keeps knocking the rear gear out every race.
16:41This axle should just slide right out.
16:43So that's usually a sign something's binding up.

30:22over in the left lane that is going to be Lizzie Musi Lizzie Musi going up against Kayla Morton in
30:29the right lane nitrous in the left pro charger in the right who will move on to face murder Nova

31:06and lizzie musy gets there first turns on the wind light so your grade eight finals will be
31:22murder nova versus lizzie musy for ten thousand dollars after my burnout backing up i hear the
31:29car it's like it's just off knocking a little bit and my dad's like it's a rock armless and

31:53the finish line this freaking big ass ball plane sends my hood scoop up into orbit like not a good
31:59situation um yeah i end up i couldn't see the scoreboard honestly but like after like the
32:04whole explosion thing i got sidetracked of that kayla she was like right next to me she was kind
32:10of close coming in i think she got a little loose on that run but uh i didn't know if i won or not
32:16to be honest with you my guys had to tell me on top m like holy okay let's go i heard it i was like
32:22that i know that's mean i ain't heard it sounds so bad i'm surprised it made it that far me too
32:28i said oh we're home i thought i was gonna make it right after the finish line but it did it
32:33without the rocker arm being in place it'll be all out of sync so it definitely throws the motor off
32:39and yeah timing everything just that's what you get that big ball of fire pretty much backfire

33:18against murder nova who is trying to make it two in a row for grade 8 wins as you know he won last
33:25week in las vegas grade 8 finals ten thousand dollars we're gonna flip a coin for lane choice

34:00a half and then uh decided to protest the the height of my bender oh for real that ain't three
34:08inches well i don't have to tell you they measured it when they came and teched the car nobody measured

34:28square and we won by a lot so they found a technicality and they were trying to you know
34:33get an opportunity off of it and it didn't work because he was telling me my was too low and i was
34:38like dude yours is lower than mine see y'all got to argue it all i'm sure it was lower so i won
34:44what would you have done if his big ass would have grabbed a whole ticket he might have kicked my ass but
34:50he didn't know what his jogger next day you would have gave him a fight for his money that's what i was hoping
34:58how are you uh it could be better i feel like i'm having a little rough time right now the third day
35:05it's always rough for me that's that's what we're around mallory a lot you know and she's always like
35:11she always says the third day is the day i don't want to get out of it yeah it's weird like hits me
35:15like a break train like that's what she said every run i'm like i have to go like lay down because it's
35:20bad got sean veranova in the finals he won the last grade eight and he's hauling ass so you know i'm a
35:26little tired but i really want to kick his ass i'm right i'm ready for anything i know my car was
35:31making a really killer run we looked on the race pack it looks killer so minus the fact of it you
35:36know backfiring and uh freaking big ball of fire you know we're not quite sure why do what it did it
35:44could happen when it gets cold temperatures like this we place the rocker and the push rod in that side
35:50we decided to leave the hood scoop off in case it decides to happen again in the finals the car
35:55is running good so we feel good about it hopefully we fix the issue and we're going to go up there for
36:00the final and hopefully kick some ass trying trying the best i can yeah no you're killing it you're
36:05killing it so you're calling ass too well you're running really good we'll see we'll see last time
36:11you drove out of my life so we'll see we'll see if it's any different uh we're racing lizzie
36:17unfortunately last time we raced her she drove out of my life
36:20and lizzie musy gets the win wow it was really close and then she locked it up and she just started
36:32kind of pulling away man i was like oh no it was pretty humbling uh in the car i felt like we were
36:40on a pretty decent pass but wasn't the greatest error for pro chargers uh it was a little bit
36:46favorable for the nitrous stuff but lizzie's fast she goes to a lot of finals she wins a lot of races
36:51and it's just like anybody else in the grade 8 we can't underestimate her she's going to go out
36:55there and pat is going to do anything he's got to do to win this race and we're going to try to do
37:00anything we can for them not to win it all right folks here we go this will be the last race of
37:07the night this is your grade 8 finals
37:10over in the left lane backing up that nitrous powered camaro
37:29that is lizzie musy she is going up against none other than murder nova murder nova over in the
37:37right lane this race right here for ten thousand dollars and very important points towards that
37:44individual championship
37:51yeah murder nova makes it two in a row murder nova ten thousand dollars congratulate you on the

38:21two times in the the grade eight and two wins you know the cars rolling we have uh we've stumbled upon
38:28something you know some sort of a magic tune that that's going down and it's going down fast you know
38:34the track is taking it two in a row dog you like an old hat at this like an old hat damn damn good job good job good job good job
38:44car's working well motors producing all the power and we're winning races you know couldn't be happier
38:50this is this is what we strive for every time we work on the car every time we make a pass on the car
38:56every time we spend money on the car this is what we do it for uh it's been a long time since we've had
39:01this winning feeling and uh we love it you know and we're not going to sleep until we get an invitation
39:08to win so tell me about the grade eight is it pretty fun

39:41hey all i know is that we made a killer pass and i didn't see her so thank you uh i went in really fast
39:50she lit the top bulbs i went in with the other two she was purging her car it was a really quick light
39:55i was ready for it uh i'm not real sure she was so i let go of the button i knew i left out before her
40:02car 60-footed like we told it to and we made a hell of a pass i could see her for a little bit
40:08and then all of a sudden she fell back and we took the wind light yeah i got blinded by the light
40:13all right i know i don't know what's causing it but it's crazy
40:21wow yeah i know yeah i'll leave that up to them good job sean
40:27your crew's a class act okay
40:29at the end of the night sean was able to win yet another great eight event that is two in a row
40:38plus he took out kai kelly in round one which made it so where he could not extend his lead
40:44that landed him fourth on the leaderboard and there's plenty of braces left for him to catch up

40:54this is the great eight sean you've won two great eights in a row man kai's been struggling a little
41:01bit on fridays he's gonna struggle we need to capitalize on it we actually broke the transmission
41:06so we have an hour to put a new transmission in the car i think we can change the tranny in an hour
41:11i just got to worry about murdering over on his little killing spree he's doing because
41:14he keeps winning every weekend he's gonna catch at this point we have to get points every grade eight
