00:26By leaving their official positions as Duke and Duchess in the royal family,

00:29Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also gave up their connections to Harry's family.

00:33They exchanged their jobs as leading figures of the crown for simpler lives, raising their kids.

00:39But from the perspective of Harry's family, the couple also shifted the weight of the work

00:43over to the remaining family members, and that caused a lot of tension.

00:48The beef between Harry and his family was evident when he and Meghan returned to the UK for the

00:52recent Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Despite attempting to reconnect with the family during

01:24engagement to an American actress and former model, Meghan Markle. Not only was she a million miles

01:29away from having royal blood, she was an outsider in the UK and had a very public life while working

01:35as an actress on the show Suits, not exactly what the Queen had in mind for her grandson.

01:40After their wedding, Meghan and Harry stepped up to their roles alongside William and Kate.

01:44The pair were smiling at every event, and Meghan became well-liked among the public,

01:48thanks to her poise, charity work, and excellent fashion sense. However, she never quite managed

01:54to fit in with the rest of the royals, or to completely conform to the complicated rules.

01:59But despite any long-term tension, Prince Harry did get the chance to see his cousins Zara and

02:04Mike Tyndall during a small garden party at Windsor Castle. The low-key event was to celebrate

02:09little Lilybat's birthday. The Queen was also reported to be in attendance and gave both Lily and Archie gifts.

02:45child Lilybat was born. Moving away and giving up his royal title is not something the family was okay

03:20leave their royal life. Meghan admitted that during her second pregnancy, she didn't feel safe.

04:19Some are even wondering if they're secretly worried about what kind of information will be

04:22in the book of memoirs that Harry is planning on publishing at the end of the year. But what exactly do

04:28they have to hide?

04:31Number six, brotherly drama.

04:34Even though Harry has tried to reconnect with his family, and his brother Prince William in particular,

04:39the relationship between the two brothers is still strained.

04:42When Harry visited for the Jubilee celebrations, the princes were both at a couple of public events

04:47but weren't seen speaking. And as to whether they reunited in private away from the cameras,

04:52the word is an unfortunate no. Ever since Harry's big move, he and his brother have been in a long-running

04:59disagreement over the importance of royal duties. Whereas Harry had the chance to start a new life

05:04in the States, William is still bound to his role at the palace and could very well end up king someday.

07:10and Charlotte, Archie and Lilibet will go to school in the US and live less conservatively.

07:15They won't have to follow the many royal rules or have the responsibilities of attending events

07:21or keeping up with their royal duties. Lili and Archie also don't have to worry about things like

07:26what clothing they wear, getting the queen's blessing on their future spouses,

07:29or being photographed making unfortunate faces in public.

07:33Number eleven, he's out of the loop.

07:37Harry may have been ignored when he returned to the UK, but from his family's point of view,

07:41the former senior role has been away so long, he probably has no idea what's going on.

07:46Prince Harry wasn't just kept out of the loop by his family, he chose to remain out of touch with

07:51the goings-on of the palace and the royal events. Since then, Harry and Meghan haven't been able to

07:56maintain connections to their past life in the UK.

08:03For generations, the queen's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren

08:07followed the very strict rules and traditions set by the crown.

08:10It's tradition for direct descendants of the queen to marry well, have kids, produce heirs,

08:20distant relatives have managed to live regular lives, it was unheard of for close relatives of the
