NXT Deadline has passed, and with Saturday Night's Main Event giving NXT stars a chance to showcase themselves, it's time to talk about who's actually ready to be called up to WWE's main roster. Some of these names might surprise you, while others feel overdue. Let's break down the three acts I think are absolutely ready to make the jump, plus a few more who are getting close.

🀼 IN THIS VIDEO:
OBA FEMI - READY NOW

Has the complete package and the aura
Not the most technical wrestler, but EXCELLENT at his style
Dominant big man character is perfected
Promos have improved dramatically
Should have been called up already - Royal Rumble and beyond
Surprised he came back to face Ricky Starks instead of going to War Games

RICKY STARKS - READY NOW

Was already a "main roster player" in AEW
Has the promos, the in-ring work, everything
Built-in connection with Cody Rhodes
Absolutely ready for the call-up

ETHAN PAGE - The Complication

1000% ready for main roster
Already has ready-made gimmick with Chelsea Green
Would be spectacular bumping for Jade Cargill
BUT - NXT lacks men's main event talent
Taking Oba, Ricky, AND Ethan would destroy NXT's top of the card
Pick TWO of these three - one needs to stay to carry NXT

FATAL INFLUENCE (JC JAYNE, FALLON HENLEY, JACY JAYNE) - READY NOW

Jacy Jayne improved MASSIVELY during her title run
She's clearly main roster ready
Fallon Henley could work on main roster now
Jacy Jayne is close enough to get by in the faction
Would benefit from house show touring (if those still existed)
Ready for increasingly competitive women's tag division

CLOSE BUT NOT YET:
Izzy Dame & Tatum Paxley

Both leveled up significantly at Deadline
Showed there's real potential with both
Dame is at a higher level than people realized
Paxley exceeded expectations even with brief title reign
Crowd is behind Paxley
Not this round, but soon

Kalani Jordan

In-ring she's absolutely ready
As a babyface she could go tomorrow
Heel character needs 6 months to develop fully
Similar to Roxy Perez - let her round out as a heel first
Would be fun paired with Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes
There's another layer of "ready" to reach

Sol Ruca

Main roster ready RIGHT NOW
Look, in-ring, charisma - has it all
Star written all over her

The Bottom Line:
NXT has WAY more main roster ready talent on the women's side than the men's side. The developmental brand is in a tough spot - it needs to be a TV show AND develop talent, which sometimes conflicts with call-up timing.

00:00NXT coming off of their show Deadline. There is obviously a bit of a build toward the future
00:06and with that promotion that does mean that there are some people who could be moving on.
00:12So as we get ready for an NXT versus WWE show later this week let's take a look at who is ready
00:19to be called up from the NXT roster to the WWE's main roster as we continue with some wrestling talk.
00:30All right so NXT's Deadline has now passed. They get ready to have some people show off
00:43on Saturday night's main event but what does it mean for the promotion in general as the
00:49developmental brand is potentially ready to send some people up to the main roster? Here are
00:55um I guess three acts that I think are ready to get called up. Number one is Obafemi.
01:02No water no bread just meat like Booker T would say or something along those lines. He says it
01:06better than I do anyway. This guy is ready. He has the aura. He is never going to be uh one of the
01:14rock and roll express in the ring. I don't know why that was the name that came to my head but
01:18like Bret Hart he is not but he is very good at being him right like he the the promos I think
01:24he's gotten a lot better at. He knows how to wrestle the style that makes him look like a
01:28dominant badass big dude and he has just every part of that character down and I think he's been
01:35ready for the main roster for a while. I was surprised when he came back to go up against
01:39Ricky Saints. I like there were people putting him into the um uh the the war games so like this guy
01:46it should be a royal rumble and onward for him. I I think absolutely this guy is ready. I think
01:52Ricky Saints is too. Um obviously like this guy was a lack of a better term main roster player
01:56on AEW anyway. He has the promo the the in-ring all of it. He has the ties with Cody like he he is
02:03I think ready for that. The one thing and the reason why I don't have Ethan Page in here as well
02:08is that this is still a television brand as frustrated as I get sometimes with that um because
02:13the purpose of NXT is supposed to be get people ready for the main roster. It is not supposed to be
02:18get a television show out there but that's what it's turned into over the last little while.
02:22Um Ethan Page is absolutely ready for the main roster. A hundred a thousand million percent
02:26ready for the main roster but this is already a show that is significantly lacking men's main event
02:33talent and if you took Oba, Ricky, and Ethan in one swoop then it the bottom falls out really quick.
02:41So I think for the brand Ethan probably needs to stick around and honestly like you could put with
02:46Oba or Ricky. Oba being the champion um probably means he's staying for a while so you could swap
02:54out Ethan there because like he has a ready-made gimmick with Chelsea Green and all of that um like
02:58him bumping for Jade Carkhill would be spectacular um like he he has a lot many ready-made already
03:04that he could be up to the main roster so pick two of Ethan Page, Obafemi, and Ricky Sainz and they
03:09are ready for the call-up and then the other one has to try to salvage the main event scene on the
03:13men's side on NXT and then on the women's side Fatal Influence I think is ready. I think like
03:19JC Jane improved so much over the last little while and really got to showcase that in her title run
03:24that um I think she's obviously main roster ready. The problem like she is more ready than the other
03:30two in the group but I I would have like I think Fallon Henley could work on the main roster right
03:34now and I think Lainey Reed gets there um she would probably be on main event a lot and like if she
03:42was just on her own there's no way we'd be calling for her to be ready but she's part of a faction that
03:46is and I think she's close enough that she can just kind of get by. She is one that would benefit a lot
03:51from there still being house shows and her just touring around wrestling every night I think she
03:55still kind of needs that not the world we're in right now but I think she still has an opportunity
03:59to kind of grow into a role I think that whole act is ready for the main roster in what is uh
04:05increasingly competitive tag team division on WWE television at this particular time. There are a
04:10couple who are close so I guess Armel mentions um Izzy Dane and Tatum Paxley I think they've both
04:15leveled up in the last couple of weeks they're entering into a feud and having all their stuff um
04:20at deadline and leading up to it um but I think they both showed that there is that there's a
04:26there there now for both of them and Dane um I think showed that she's at a level that I don't
04:32think people understood that she was at Tatum Paxley I think got to a higher level than people
04:35thought she could um even with a brief title reign obviously the people are behind her as well so
04:40those are two that probably not this go around but I think at some point soon-ish they could get
04:45called up um Kalani Jordan interested to see how the heel character kind of plays out a little bit
04:50but if they just wanted to call her up like in ring wise she's ready if they call her up as a
04:55babyface she's obviously ready I think the heel character needs six months to kind of work through
04:59figure out every the depths of that character the motivations all of that and see what you have in
05:04her kind of over do it the way they did with Roxy who was ready for a couple of years if you're going
05:09to call her up as a babyface but she has this heel run that really rounds out the character so now even
05:13if she goes as a babyface there there's a little bit more of a dynamic character there that she can draw
05:18on I feel like Kalani would benefit from the same thing but I've also been saying that her trick
05:23and Carmella would be a fun grouping just because she has been starting to pair up with trick Williams
05:28a little bit on uh vignettes and everything she'd be ready for that tomorrow if she could it is just
05:33I feel like there is another layer of ready to get to with her and then Sol Ruka I think she's main
05:38ready now but like if this were the main roster her and Zarya would be a year-long feud building to
05:45the next Wrestlemania we will see we probably still get a lot of that but like in ring wise look wise all
05:51of it she she is ready to go in in that sort of a way so NXT significantly more on the women's side
05:57than on the men's side have quite a few that are ready to get called up and make a real impact
06:01on the WWE roster so we'll see what happens coming off of Saturday's main event and John Cena's last match
06:08you
