00:00And you're actually kind of familiar with riding horses because you read Hannah Montana the movie.
00:04Yeah, that's where I first learned.
00:06That was where you first learned.
00:07How did that training kind of help you?
00:10Well, it definitely helped me, and it didn't because I was confident.
00:14It was like, well, I've done this before.
00:16Nothing compared to what I had to do on this.
00:18But it was, yeah, no, I mean, it was helpful for sure because it made me feel like I could do it.
00:23They had such great trainers.
00:25Anybody can learn.
00:26This one seems a little bit more action-packed.
00:28Definitely, yeah.
00:30Just real quick, do you happen to talk to anyone from the Hannah Montana movie?
00:34Any of the cast?
00:38I don't think I do.
00:42It doesn't mean I don't talk to them, you know what I mean?
00:45I just haven't run into anyone in a long time, so no.
00:49I did a movie with Mitch years ago.
00:52That was later.
00:54No, not really.
00:57Okay, would you ever go back to do another movie?
01:06I'd be willing to talk to someone about it.
01:09And, you know, what kind of movies or series are you wanting to take on later in the future?
01:17You know, at this point, I mean, it's anything that'll just give me my health insurance.
01:23So real.
01:24So real.
01:25And I'm not even fully joking there.
01:30But, yeah, no, I have a family now, so I'm trying to pick things that are, make it so that I don't have to be away from my little one too often.
01:44Congratulations, by the way.
01:45Thank you very much, yes.
01:46Do you have any family plan for traditions for the holidays, like I've been looking forward to?
01:52You know, it's funny.
01:53Like, I'm trying to create new ones now.
01:55But really just my mother-in-law makes cranberry sauce and sweet potato casserole, and my wife does as well, that are just to die for.
02:09So that's the only tradition I'm really looking forward to off the top of my head, just eating.
02:14Eating, perfect.
02:15Yeah.
02:15The best type of answer you could have.
02:17Yeah, I know.
02:17Yeah.
02:17Well, thank you so much.
02:18I appreciate your time.
02:19Yeah.
02:20All right.
02:20Thanks.
02:21And tell me about the training camp.
02:23How was that experience like for you?
02:25It was awesome.
02:26That's one of the best parts about doing stuff like this.
02:29Whether, you know, one time I did boot camp for our playing Marines.
02:32It was like two weeks, and that was so much fun as an adult to go to, like, do this ridiculous thing, camp.
02:40Fun boot camp thing.
02:41And on this one as well, we're just getting to ride on horses for two or three weeks before we even started shooting.
02:47And they're, like, separating cows, while on horseback, separating cows from the other cows and getting in there.
02:55It was so much fun.
02:56Like, who else gets to do this?
02:58Who's get to play make-believe for a living and, you know, do this silly thing and make money doing it?
03:04I don't like talking about it too much because people get mad, so it's great.
03:08Who would you say most impressed you at the training camp?
03:14That's a good question.
03:15I would just say everybody because there was one day where they were just testing everybody out after we had done it for a couple weeks or whatever.
03:22And to see everybody be able to, like, do what I just said with the cattle and, like, sort of separate them from each other.
03:29And then we all went around in a circle and did all of these maneuvers and everything.
03:33And to see everybody, like, 30 people in unison be able to do that, that's what I'd say.
03:37It was really impressive to see how much progress everyone had made.
03:42And I heard that you went to a training camp.
03:45Tell me about that experience.
03:46Yeah, we did.
03:47We all went through cowboy training camp to become honorary cowboys.
03:52So, we got to ride horses and win those little bands.
03:59Also, this show was originally supposed to go for 22 and 23, so I kind of got to do two cowboys.
04:05One at the beginning of 23 and one at 23.
04:08Okay, so by the time we actually got to set, I felt like a pretty good pretend cow.
04:14I don't think I can, like, claim that title for myself.
04:17But, yeah, we all went through and we got to learn a lot of different skills.
04:21A lot of horseback riding, which is so much fun.
04:22Have you ever done any of that before?
04:24Or was it the first time?
04:25I did a little bit of horseback riding, but nothing to this extent.
04:28And it was cool.
04:32Like, I've never been able to gallop.
04:36So, we got to learn to actually gallop, glopes, straw.
04:39So, yeah, it was a really, it was a really cool experience.
04:46Kind of a dream of true experience.
04:48Wanting to be a cowboy since I was a kid.
04:51Okay, there you go.
04:52What else helped you get into it?
04:54Not at the beginning.
04:54We have a couple of days.
04:55Well, the training definitely helped, but then the locations were.
04:58We were filmed in Alberta, and we had these incredible vistas of the Rocky Mountains to come
05:05and work out today, and the prairies, and the sets were incredible.
05:08Our production design did an incredible job building these, like, worlds.
05:14And we had a whole town.
05:15Angels Ridge was built from the ground up, and all of that, it was so immersive.
05:20It felt, all of that was, like, such a pleasure.
05:27How else would you like working with the Iconic, Martina, and Julia, on this series?
05:32Iconic.
05:32Yeah.
05:33They both are legends.
05:34Lina's getting incredible and became our, you know, de facto mom on this series.
05:40And Jillian is also great.
05:43Like, nothing's changed.
05:44I was a fan of both of them going into it, and so getting to watch them do their thing
05:50and do those was a lot of fun.
05:52Jillian was, you know, like, locked in and super scary as the fans.
06:00Got it, yeah, absolutely.
06:01And Lina was, like, the most, was, like, the warmest, must-of-page, or finest music player.
06:09Just really appreciate both that and Jillian.
06:13Okay.
