In the mountains, 12-year-old Tian befriends a panda he named Moon and thus begins an incredible adventure that changes his and his family's lives.

00:01Hi, my name is Gilles Demestre. I'm a French director.

00:07Maybe you saw my previous movie, Mia and the White Lion, or The Wolf and the Lion.

00:12The next one you will see is Moon the Panda, and it's a family adventure.

00:18A very nice story between a boy and the panda.

00:24To film a panda is quite an adventure, especially in China.

00:28As you know, we used two real pandas. One young girl, Tata, was nine months old for the beginning of the movie.

00:36And Xin Lu, which is the oldest one, which is two years old.

00:41So we have to discuss for a long time with the Chinese.

00:44But we had a lot of luck, and after a long time, a few years, we convinced them.

00:50And our shooting took like one year.

00:55Not so fast. Come on!

00:57There is a lot of message in the panda, but I mean, the main one, we have to protect the animals.

01:03And especially the endangered species like panda are very endangered.

01:08And the story of Tian, he finds a wild panda in the nature and begins to interact with him.

01:14Begin to create a friendship, which is very nice.

01:17But he will understand during the story that we should protect panda, like we should protect all the species in nature.

01:24And I think for the audience, they will never see such a creation of bond between the kid and the panda.

01:32You're just like a hundred friends.

01:34It's the first time I was directing a real family because they have real connections.

01:40I mean, Louis Oye and Noe, it's the real father and the real son.

01:46And Nina also, the girl, was the sister of Noe.

01:49And so we're creating new bonds, new connections together.

01:54And so it was very nice.

01:56Oh, what a wonderful adventure we have together.

02:01A lot of people from Singapore are going to come to see the panda.

02:06And it's a story for grandparents, for parents and for children to share together.

02:11And what is inside the movie is really something you can discuss with your kids.
