Several years have passed since the Seven Riders destroyed the Delzer Army. A new organization called Neo Shocker has emerged, inheriting the name of the secret society Shocker that once terrorized the world.
00:20Several years after the original Kamen Riders wiped out evil organizations and brought peace, this film, New Kamen Rider, or Skyrider, sees them fighting against a new evil organization, Neo Shocker, which is once again plotting to take over the world.
00:42Now, let's take a look at this work.
00:45New Kamen Rider, or Skyrider, is based on the original work of Shotaro Ishimori, who also created Kikaider, and aired a total of 54 episodes between 1979 and 1980.
01:04The story begins when Hiroshi Sukuba, flying in a hang glider, witnesses a car attack from above and rushes to the scene.
01:17At the scene, a fighter dressed entirely in black attacks Hiroshi, but he manages to escape along with Dr. Sid, who is also being attacked.
01:27However, Dr. Sid did not tell Hiroshi the reason for the attack, but instead told him to forget everything and left the scene.
01:37Later, when he returned to his fellow hang gliding friends, he found that they had all been murdered by someone.
01:46At that moment, Dr. Sid's assistant appears and takes them to the doctor's hideout, where the doctor tells them that the evil organization Neo Shocker was responsible for the murder of their friends.
02:00Immediately afterwards, a monster, the Gameleon, appears and kidnaps the doctor, with Hiroshi following closely behind.
02:09However, while he was reminiscing, he was attacked by the Gameleons and suffered serious injuries that left him near death, but Dr. Sid performed emergency surgery on Hiroshi and saved him as a cyborg.
02:26The surgery is successful, but Hiroshi leaves the Neo Shocker hideout without knowing anything, where he is told by the Gameleons and Dr. Sid that he has become a cyborg.
02:38Hiroshi is confused, but transforms into Skyrider to help Dr. Sid.
02:44However, I can't hide my surprise at how much I've changed.
02:50However, when the undead, under orders from the Gameleonians, launch an attack, he frantically fights back and finally finishes them off with a sky kick.
03:01Suddenly, the hideout explodes and Skyrider is almost caught up in it, but he manages to escape by flying into the sky.
03:11He then rescues Dr. Sid and declares that he will fight against the evil organization, Neo Shocker.
03:18Now, let me introduce the characters.
03:24First of all, the main character, Dr. Tsukuba, is a third-year student at Kamikita University. After saving Dr. Sid during hang gliding club practice, he is attacked by Neo Shocker and becomes a cyborg, or Skyrider.
03:41His parents were thought to be dead, but it was later revealed that his mother was actually being held captive by Neo Shocker.
03:51He has a strong sense of justice and a kind personality, but as he fights Neo Shocker, he also develops a wild and hot-blooded side to him.
04:04Dr. Sid transformed Hiroshi, who was seriously injured and near death, into Skyrider without undergoing any brain modification.
04:12He then founded the Death Hang Gliding Club and, as its president, supported Skyriders.
04:19In episode 14, he is invited to join an overseas Neo-Shocker countermeasure committee, so he appoints Tani Kenjiro as his official representative and leaves Japan.
04:32Kenjiro Tani is the owner of the Blanca coffee shop and Hiroshi's senior at university.
04:38His family was killed by Neo Shocker, so he hides his real name for safety.
04:46With the official approval of Dr. Cid, he has become an advisor to all the previous riders, including Skyrider.
04:53Midori Kano is Dr. Sid's daughter and supports Hiroshi as a member of the Sid Hang Gliding Club.
05:04Tonda Konta is a reporter who speaks Kansai dialect and is the comic relief in the first half of the film.
05:11Ganganji is a character who speaks Kansai dialect and is involved in many things, and also appears as a self-proclaimed hero.
05:23It turns out that he is actually Yadakanji, a young man who aspires to be a hero, wearing armor he made himself.
05:31For some reason, he sees Skyrider as a rival, and appears on stage carrying a climbing rope with the words "Japan's No. 1 Ganganji" written on his back, riding a minibike and singing a parody of the Gunkan March, "Gangan March."
05:46Sukuba Yotarou and Toshiko are Hiroshi's parents. His father was killed after refusing to cooperate with Neo Shocker, and his mother was forced to work as a servant, taking care of the Great Hunt.
06:02Skyrider, the form that Sukuba Hiroshi transforms into, is based on the motif of an Inagon or a grasshopper, and he transforms into Skyrider by absorbing wind pressure energy from his transformation belt, the Tornado windmill.
06:19Its greatest feature is that it uses gravity reduction devices attached to both sides of the belt to weaken gravity around the body, allowing it to glide at a maximum speed of 800 km/h.
06:35During flight, the scarf around their neck stretches, helping them balance themselves during flight.
06:41His special move is the Sky Kick, in which he jumps up to a height of 200 meters, launches himself forward in the air, then plummets down in one go, concentrating all of his body's energy into a kick.
06:56In episode 28, after receiving intensive training from previous riders, he has developed 99 different aerial killing techniques, including the Sky Kick and the Sky Giant Spin Kick, which utilizes a gravity reduction device.
07:14In addition, the exterior body color has changed to a lighter color.
07:18The Sky Turbo is a bike exclusively for Skyriders, equipped with a hydrogen engine with a maximum output of 2000 horsepower and a displacement of 8000cc, and boasts a top speed of 1200 km/h.
07:35It uses anti-slam techniques, Rider Break, Sky Turbo Attack, and Sky Turbo Jump, which utilize ultra-vibration waves from a high-vibration generator built into the front cowling.
07:50It is also capable of unmanned driving using a computer, and its base vehicle is the Suzuki Hustler 250T.
07:58Skyrider's enemy is Neo Shocker, an evil secret organization that takes on the name of Shocker, the group Kamen Rider fought.
08:10The goal was to reduce the overpopulated population in anticipation of food shortages, and to turn talented people into cyborgs and use them as the organization's arms and legs.
08:22He is the head of the Neo Shocker Great Hunt, standing at the top of the organization, but he calls himself the Emperor of the Dark Nebula and issues orders to his executives from the Great Temple of the Earth Empire Kingdom.
08:36He usually controls his subordinates using only his voice, but his true identity is revealed towards the end of the film.
08:43These executives can be used in the Great Hunt, and General Monster appears as the first top executive of the Japanese branch.
08:55He appears as a military-style man wearing a gecko eyepatch, and his weapons include a flamethrowing walking stick, a probe, and an iron claw in his left hand.
09:07He is a cold-hearted, ruthless man who lives for murder and seems to prefer secrecy.
09:16After numerous defeats, he receives an ultimatum from the Great Hunt, so he transforms himself into the Gecko Clan and pushes Skyrider to the brink of defeat, but is ultimately defeated by a Sky Kick.
09:31Majin Teitoku is the second generation high-ranking executive of the Japanese branch, and comes from the South American branch.
09:40They have given up on the monsters in the Japanese branch and are now calling in monsters from overseas to face off against Skyrider.
09:48His personality is brutal, dictatorial, and intolerant of incompetent people and those who oppose him.
09:57Although he does not transform into a monster like previous executives, he already possesses monster-level abilities.
10:06Weapons include a long sword, a poisonous liquid, a machine gun mounted in his right arm, and a poisonous gas attack.
10:15After numerous defeats, he receives an ultimatum from the Great Hunt, just like the General Monster, and in the end, he disguises himself as Hiroshi's father, Yoichiro, and attempts to defeat Skyrider, but fails and is executed by the Great Hunt.
10:32Although he is a Neo Shocker monster, he is based on plants and animals, and until the middle of the series, he wears a red, inverted triangular lamp on his head during battle, which indicates a cooling effect against internal heat.
10:49Ant Commandos are combatants, and as their name suggests, they are implanted with the abilities of ants, such as antennae.
11:00He is also skilled in motorcycle techniques and can even transform into a human depending on the strategy.
11:10Now, it's finally the final episode.
11:13The final episode will be a continuation from the previous episode, episode 53.
11:19After defeating Majin Teitoku, all the previous riders enter the great temple of the underground kingdom.
11:27After that, Hiroshi rescues his mother at the Great Temple, and then he and his mother leave the Great Temple and move to a safer location.
11:38Meanwhile, a gigantic, dragon-like monster finally appears before the riders, taking the form of the great god of hunting.
11:47Considering that the battle at the Great Temple is unfavorable, the Riders move from the Great Temple and fight the Great Hunt on the ground, but their attacks are completely ineffective.
12:01The Great Hunt then causes an earthquake, forcing the riders to retreat for a time.
12:08The Great Hunt then sends an oxygen-destroying bomb, capable of instantly killing a human, towards Tokyo, and tells the Riders that if they do not come under Neo Shocker's control within 24 hours, the bomb will be detonated.
12:26Meanwhile, Hiroshi and his mother escape from the underground temple, but are discovered by the Skull Assassination Squad, and his mother is killed.
12:37However, before she dies, Hiroshi's mother tells him that the Great Hunt's weak spot is the sole of its right foot, and that he will fight the Great Hunt for peace.
12:53Meanwhile, the Riders head to Neo Shocker headquarters to prevent the bomb from being detonated, and head off to the final battle with the Great Hunt.
13:03The Great Hunt appears at the battlefield, demonstrating its overwhelming strength to the Riders, while also repelling all of their special moves.
13:17Just when it seemed like all options had been exhausted, Skyrider arrives.
13:23He launches an attack on the Great Hunt, but like the other riders, is no match for it.
13:30Then, just as the great hunter was about to crush the monster with his right foot, he fired an arrow into the sole of its foot, causing it to groan and fall.
13:42Without a moment's hesitation, the Riders deliver a Rider Kick to his face.
13:48Even though he was in a daze, the Great Hunter mustered all his strength and took off to activate the oxygen destructive bomb before he died.
13:59Seeing this, the eight riders joined forces and glided through the air in a sailing jump, finally causing the Great Hunt and the bomb to explode outside the atmosphere.
14:12Blanca's friends watch the explosion in tears.
14:16With no confirmation of their life or death, the program ends with viewers looking up at the sky and seeing the visions of the eight riders smiling and responding to their friends.
14:28Now, let's take a look at Skyrider in action.

16:59What did you think?
17:17When the series first began airing, my friends and I referred to this Kamen Rider as the New Kamen Rider, a rather unsophisticated name.
17:26However, halfway through the show, they started calling it Skyrider, and I still wonder why they didn't just name the show Skyrider from the beginning.
