00:00Netflix is officially buying Warner Brothers Discovery,
00:03including HBO and HBO Max, in an $83 billion deal.
00:07Now, it won't wrap up until late 2026,
00:09but when it does, all those Warner Brothers classics
00:12like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Friends,
00:14and the DC Universe will sit right next to Stranger Things
00:17and Bridgerton on Netflix.
00:18In other words, your watch list
00:20may soon need its own watch list.
00:22For HBO Max subscribers, nothing changes right away.
00:24Still, eventually the app will be folded into Netflix,
00:27which could mean more content in one place,
00:29but also higher subscription prices.
00:31After all, $83 billion isn't exactly pocket change.
00:34Analysts are split.
00:35Some say bundling with HBO could save people money,
00:38while others think Netflix will hike prices
00:40to cover the massive cost of the deal.
00:42Supporters say this is a dream combo
00:44that finally puts everything under one roof,
00:46but critics worry that they're gonna have to limit
00:48their subscription count to afford Netflix.
00:50It's the streaming equivalent of deciding
00:52which friends are allowed in the group chat.
00:54And don't forget, this whole thing still has to clear
00:56regulatory approval from the government,
00:57so it's not a done deal yet,
00:59but we wanna know what you think.
01:01Is this a streamer's dream come true
01:02or a wallet emptying nightmare?
