A couple touched viewers online by reviving a classic road-trip tradition: signaling for a truck driver to honk on the highway.
The pair, from the channel Travel with Tremanda, posted a video on TikTok showing the moment the woman makes the familiar arm gesture asking the truck driver in the adjacent lane to honk.
Surprisingly, the truck driver recognized the signal and gave a quick honk. “Doing our part to keep some important road-trip traditions alive,” they wrote in the text overlaid on the clip.
The video has already surpassed 3 million views. In the comments, many users admitted they were moved by the gesture, recalling a tradition they cherished in childhood but gradually faded over time.
