00:00A record 48 teams will take part in next year's World Cup, set to kick off in Mexico City in June.
00:08FIFA announced all 12 groups that include the 42 teams in a ceremony at the Kennedy Center in Washington.
00:15Six of the participating teams at the World Cup have yet to be determined and will only be known in March.
00:21The World Cup welcomed a lot of newcomers, with Cape Verde, Jordan, Uzbekistan and Curaçao
00:27all appearing in the football's premier event for the first time.
00:32During the ceremony, U.S. President Donald Trump was awarded the new FIFA Peace Prize by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, a close Trump ally.
00:42Infantino praised Trump for promoting peace and unity around the world.
00:47However, critics noted that the award's timing coincided with the Trump administration's campaign of strikes in the Caribbean
00:54targeting alleged drug smugglers and also comes just days after Trump referred to Somalia as, quote, garbage.
