Mercedes has officially dropped the controversial 1.5T mild-hybrid setup and switched entirely to a powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine (M254) across the entire lineup. Even better – every single 2026 C-Class L is now rear-wheel drive only, with no more front-wheel-drive-based variants. Key highlights:
