00:00Knicks guard Landry Schammett re-injured the same shoulder that he dislocated back in the 2024 preseason,
00:06but this time he was diagnosed with a shoulder sprain and not a full dislocation.
00:10So can you break down the difference in the injuries?
00:13And would you say he kind of dodged a bullet with it being sprained instead of being dislocated?
00:18I saw the injury and I looked at the injury clip over and over again,
00:22and he got hit pretty bad and he rushed off the court, so he knew something was wrong.
00:28To me, it looked like he may have had a micro, like a minor instability event that popped right back in potentially.
00:37So in my opinion, if it happens more than once despite the rehab, he might benefit from getting this fixed.
00:45Your average Joe, if they came in with the same injury and that same injury history in that shoulder as Schammett,
00:52what would you suggest to your patient for treatment?
00:54I would say if they want to continue high-level activity, athletics, and they want to protect their shoulder,
01:01I would recommend getting it fixed.
