Diego Luna talks about how starring in and producing the new Disney+ series 'Andor' and being so involved with the project.
Transcript
00:00Rogue One explored such a pivotal moment in the Skywalker Saga.
00:03What was it like shooting that before shooting the series?
00:06It was fantastic. I mean, the journey of Rogue One was so special for me.
00:12I was never expecting that to happen in my life, and I enjoyed every step.
00:18I worked with people I still today, I am in touch with.
00:23But Andor has been different.
00:25Andor has been a project that I've been part of since day one, you know.
00:29I own the project as much as anyone else in the show, you know.
00:34As an actor, normally you're thrown into a vehicle already moving, you know.
00:39This time I was involved as a producer, too.
00:42So I was there when things were just ideas, sketches, you know, the process of casting and seeing who was going to play what.
00:50And then seeing the characters becoming real, you know, the process of all the designs, you know.
00:56I was there. I know why things are this way and not another way.
01:01It feels very, it feels, yeah, like it belongs, you know, somehow in a very special and different way than anything else I've done before.
01:12Which one was tougher, acting or producing in the series?
01:14I would say nothing was tough.
01:18It was complex, it was intense.
01:21But tough is not the word I would use because every day I woke up wanting to go to set, you know.
01:28Today, whenever I open my email account, I'm looking for stuff to watch, for questions to be answered.
01:36I want to be part of the process.
01:38I don't want to be anywhere else.
01:40I'm enjoying every step of this ride, you know.
