00:29Speaking with CNN, Thomas Bezuka explained how the original ending, where Diane Keaton's

00:33character Sybil dies, has deeply shaped the new film.

00:37I've been haunted by the loss of Sybil for months now while I worked on it, he said, adding

00:42that the news of Keaton's passing was a blow on a tender bruise already.

00:47He noted that, mentally, he's been spending time in that house where I've been missing

00:51her for a while already.

00:53Bezuka says he aims to honor Keaton even more and do a good job by the rest of the cast as

00:57he develops the sequel.
