00:00Ethan Mbappe is rumored to be making a decision that might be a little different from his big
00:04brother. Bit of a Thanksgiving issue for the Mbappe family because it looks like Ethan is
00:09debating between playing for Cameroon and Algeria. What are the storylines behind that? Do you think
00:14that it will cause a little bit of tension in the Mbappe camp if he goes on to play for another
00:18national team? Should he wait and play for France or should he play for his father or mother's
00:22country? Every situation is different for sure. As your hotline ain't definitely could bring up
00:28the cultural reality of their home. But we've seen some great examples of players who play
00:35for different teams, one being a European team, one being an African nation, and they both
00:38succeed in different ways. We know Kevin Prince-Boateng. It's cool to see that when they're on the
00:43pitch because his love is still there. But what do y'all think? And honestly, you said
00:47with Cameroon. And Algeria. Algeria. And Mbappe has some history with Cameroon. It's true.
00:52So what does that mean? Have we moved past that? And I think if he did go with Algeria, it wouldn't
00:56be genuine because I'm an older brother. I have a little brother. My little brother
01:02definitely tries to be as adversarial and controversial as he can sometimes. Even when
01:08he wants to do the same thing as me, he'll be like, I'm going to do something different.
01:12And so I think even though Ethan looks up to his big brothers in a lot of ways, he even
01:17talked about how Mbappe's celebration came from him. True. And they share a lot of that brother
01:22they love. I do think for him, like carving his own path, making history with a team like
01:27Algeria would be a great way to kind of cement his own legacy instead of trying to live up
01:32to his brother's expectations. The current player he's at now, there's no way he can live
01:35up to Killian. But you're creating your own narrative and your own story in Algeria.
01:40Now you can create a really special story.
01:41This has been Father Side on BN Sports. Happy Thanksgiving. We will see you guys next week.
