00:00Trusted journalists at Comedy Central, it's America's only source for news.
00:05This is The Daily Show with your host, Josh Johnson.
00:25Welcome to The Daily Show. I'm Josh Johnson.
00:28Listen, we've got so much to talk about tonight.
00:30The war on drugs continues, and this time we're on the side of drugs.
00:34We break down the latest tips to kiss Trump's ass.
00:37And bad news, AI might kill us soon, but good news, AI might kill us soon.
00:42So, let's get into the headlines.
00:49Let's begin with President Trump.
00:51He started his second term in January, promising to keep America out of foreign wars.
00:55Now it's December, and he almost made it a year.
00:59President Trump hinting at land strikes in Venezuela as backlash on the controversial boat strikes deepens.
01:06We're going to start doing those strikes on land, too.
01:08You know, the land is much easier.
01:10It's much easier.
01:11And we know the routes they take.
01:13We know everything about them.
01:14We know where they live.
01:16We know where the bad ones live.
01:17We know where they live.
01:21We know if they've been good or bad.
01:24What is he, drone strike Santa?
01:27So, yeah, Trump is launching a war on narco-terrorists.
01:29Which, by the way, I get why he calls them narco-terrorists.
01:33Because Americans know how to feel about terrorists.
01:35We hate those guys.
01:36But if you just say it's a war on drug dealers, that's a person we invited to bring us drugs that we wanted.
01:46That's like if they told you to start hating your Amazon delivery guy.
01:50Like, that's your guy.
01:52He's bringing your blender.
01:54But, hey, this war in Venezuela just shows how serious Donald Trump is about going after these drug traffickers.
02:01If there's even one guy on a little fishing boat, Trump's taking him out.
02:04So, drug dealers, watch your back.
02:07President Trump has issued a full and unconditional pardon for the former president of Honduras.
02:12Juan Orlando Hernandez was serving a 45-year sentence after he was convicted on major drug trafficking charges in the U.S. last year.
02:21Like I just said.
02:24Drug dealers, watch your back.
02:27Because Trump is about to give you a nice massage.
02:31I don't even know what's crazier.
02:33That President Trump is pardoning the president of Honduras for selling drugs or that the president of Honduras was selling drugs.
02:40People work their whole lives just to become president.
02:43So, for you to get there and say to yourself, now I get to do my dream is crazy.
02:50At least Walter White had a teacher salary.
02:53You're the president and not only are you selling drugs, you're so bad at it, you get arrested in a whole different country.
03:03But maybe I'm missing something about this pardon.
03:05Maybe he's not some kingpin.
03:07I mean, this is America, the country that locks people up for years just because they happen to have a little baggie of drugs.
03:13How do we know this marginalized president deserved 45 years?
03:17I'm sure whatever this guy did, it wasn't that bad.
03:20Juan Orlando Hernandez helped smuggle 400 tons of cocaine into the U.S.
03:34I'm sorry.
03:36400 tons of cocaine?
03:38First of all, how do you even shove all that up your ass?
03:46I didn't even know you could measure cocaine in tons.
03:50It's like if someone told you they weighed 48 degrees Fahrenheit.
03:54Like, the f*** are you talking about?
03:58400 tons of cocaine?
04:00That sounds like all the cocaine in the world.
04:03Give me another unit based on not all the cocaine in the world.
04:07More than 400 tons, which is about 4.5 billion individual doses of cocaine.
04:16Doses?
04:19Is that the term?
04:22Hey, man, I'm going to head to the bathroom and do a couple of recommended serving sizes.
04:30You could tell this is someone who doesn't know about cocaine because you don't measure it in doses.
04:34You measure it in half-written screenplays.
04:37All right?
04:39That's like saying, hey, do you mind if I get another dollop of meth?
04:42But the point is...
04:46But the point is, in the middle of an active war against drug traffickers,
05:03Donald Trump has pardoned a man who's smuggled in enough cocaine to give every American resting
05:10Kash Patel face.
05:19It's confusing to say the least, but if I know Donald Trump, he'll have a very coherent and
05:24well-thought-out explanation for this pardon.
05:27You know you've been pardoning too many people when you're like, I'm sorry, which notorious drug lord are we talking about?
05:47At least give me the first letter or we'll be here all night.
05:50It's wild how Trump always talks to the media like he's in court.
05:55He's like, I don't know who you're talking about.
05:56I wasn't there.
05:57I'm not even here.
06:00But after they reminded Trump who this guy was, he did have some semblance of an explanation.
06:04When you take a look, I mean, they could say that you take any country you want.
06:09If somebody sells drugs in that country, that doesn't mean you arrest the president and put him in jail for the rest of his life.
06:15And that includes this country, okay?
06:17To be honest, I mean, if somebody does something wrong, do you put the president of the country in jail?
06:22Clearly, Trump is worried about a slippery slope here.
06:38It's like that classic poem, first they came for the wildly corrupt presidents and I said nothing because that would be admissible in court.
06:47But I'll be honest, I don't think Trump pardoned another president so that he could get pardoned later.
06:51That's just too smart for Trump.
06:53It's like seeing a monkey draw a cube.
06:55There's no way he knew that's what he was drawing.
07:00There had to be another dumber reason why Trump pardoned Hernandez.
07:05The ex-president of Honduras wrote a letter to President Trump back in October calling Trump,
07:11Your Excellency, and praising Trump's resilience in what he called the face of political persecution,
07:17writing in part,
07:18Just as you, President Trump,
07:20I have suffered political persecution targeted by the Biden-Harris administration.
07:25It was that easy?
07:28All you have to do is write Trump a letter saying that Biden framed you for something you definitely did,
07:34had a trial for, and were convicted of.
07:37You are the most did it.
07:39Because if it really is that easy, you know what this means.
07:45I don't think Diddy can read or write.
07:56For more on the pardoning of the former Honduran president,
07:59we turn to our very own Troy Iwata.
08:01Troy, what's the latest?
08:08Josh, Josh, I am here in the jungles talking to the drug cartels,
08:13and they are ecstatic about the pardon.
08:16Mr. Trump, they read you loud and clear.
08:18The war on drugs is over, and the drugs won.
08:21All right?
08:21Let's fill these baggies, okay?
08:24Josh, Josh, does this look like a gram to you?
08:26No!
08:26No?
08:28No?
08:28Okay.
08:28Well, it's close enough.
08:29So, stand by, Mr. President.
08:31The drugs are on their way.
08:33Hold on, man.
08:34Trump only pardoned one person.
08:36He is still blowing up all those boats in Venezuela.
08:40Is that right?
08:40Is that right?
08:41Is that right?
08:42That's right.
08:43All right.
08:43All right.
08:43War on drugs is back on.
08:45All right, compadres, we got to get rid of this stuff.
08:48We got to get rid of it now, okay?
08:49Cancelen la cacaina.
08:51Los gringos nos van a drone attack, okay?
08:55Oh, God.
08:56What?
08:56Whoa, whoa, whoa.
08:58Dude, don't do cocaine on TV.
09:01Oh, calm down, you noob.
09:02It's just like one dose.
09:04Okay, look, we just, we got to get underground before Trump locks us up for life, right?
09:09Well, he'll probably let you go free if you just blame it on Joe Biden.
09:12Oh.
09:14Okay.
09:15Chicas, we are back in business.
09:17All right.
09:18So, as long, as long as we suck up to Trump, we're golden, all right?
09:21This is amazing.
09:22Josh, I feel like I have an eye for this.
09:24Do you feel like I have an eye for this, Josh?
09:25What do you think, Josh?
09:26Josh, are you there, Josh?
09:28Wait, wait, Troy, Troy, Troy, Troy.
09:30Sucking up doesn't always work.
09:31Venezuela is doing it now, but Trump's still about to bomb them.
09:34Okay, well, God damn it.
09:36I mean, make up your mind, America.
09:37Do you want drugs or not?
09:40God, God, I feel like I'm back in high school again when I couldn't tell who was wearing
09:44the dare shirts, ironically or not.
09:46Just, like, tell me what the policy is.
09:49I mean, I think the policy is whatever the president wants to do at the time.
09:53Okay, well, that's f***ed up.
10:00Why do you keep doing that?
10:01I don't know.
10:02I'm starting to think this stuff is addictive.
10:05Troy Awad, everyone.
10:07When we come back, we find out if AI is going to put us on the street, so don't go away.
10:23Welcome back to The Daily Show.
10:33Artificial intelligence might enslave the entire human race, but what if it did something even worse?
10:39Ronnie Chang has more.
10:44America is spending hundreds of billions of dollars on AI infrastructure.
10:49Wait, why are we spending hundreds of billions of dollars on AI infrastructure?
10:54Ah, damn it.
10:55I'm going to have to talk to some nerd about this, aren't I?
10:58Like Peter Wilderford of the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy.
11:02I've used AI.
11:04Did I ejaculate?
11:05Yes.
11:06Was it the best sex thing ever?
11:08Not really.
11:09So what's the big deal about it?
11:10The big deal is what AI might be able to do in the future.
11:14The level of investment is actually now even exceeding the Manhattan Project.
11:19That's right.
11:20The Manhattan Project.
11:21The four-year program where the U.S. spent the equivalent of $37 billion in today's dollars to build a working nuclear bomb.
11:30All in an attempt to finally defeat Barbie once and for all.
11:33So why is the AI infrastructure build-out costing 10 times that?
11:37It is essentially a big bet that AI will generate a lot of profit in the future and that we will get AGI before the money runs out.
11:46Obviously, I know what AGI is, but for dumbasses like Michael Kosta who might be watching this, could you please explain it to them?
11:52AGI stands for Artificial General Intelligence.
11:57It's a hypothetical future form of AI that can do anything a human can do.
12:01Current AI systems have narrow intelligence, which means they're great at simple tasks, but when it comes to complex actions in the real world, they...
12:09Holy shit, it's f***ing head fell off.
12:14But these AI companies are betting billions that their systems will improve to be as capable as a human at most tasks.
12:22Also known as AGI.
12:24My character, Megan, was that killed by AI or was that AGI?
12:28Megan was, I think, probably a form of AGI.
12:30I thought it was a great movie, kind of showing what could happen with an AGI system that they didn't know how to control.
12:37Yeah, I'm glad you like my movie.
12:39Wait, you know what I mean?
12:40Yeah.
12:40Oh, yeah.
12:41Wait, you...
12:42You said you watched it.
12:43You didn't see me in it?
12:45No.
12:45How did you miss f***ing one-third of the movie?
12:47I was the main villain.
12:49I kind of thought Megan was the villain.
12:51Yeah, but I was the secondary antagonist.
12:53Were you looking at your phone?
12:54I was on the airplane.
12:55Well, that's not the optimal experience.
12:57But as billions pour into AI, some pundits are starting to use the B word.
13:03We are in a bubble.
13:04We're in a bubble of some sort that will pop at some time.
13:07Or are we in an AI bubble?
13:08Of course.
13:09That prepubescent old man is wrong.
13:11It's not a bubble.
13:13All that's happening is the three biggest players in the AI world have created a circular flow of deals worth billions.
13:21NVIDIA invests in OpenAI, who turns around and invests in cloud computing from Oracle.
13:27Who then reaches around to NVIDIA to buy chips.
13:30These contracts jack up their stock prices and...
13:33Oh, wait.
13:34Now I see.
13:35So this is the most expensive circle joke of all time.
13:40Yes.
13:4125% of the stock market is a bet on AI.
13:46The f***?
13:46If these deals don't work out, there could be a stock market crash and the public would be the ones left holding the bag.
13:53All right.
13:53Well, I mean, I guess that sucks for the public.
13:56Well, you're part...
13:56Wait, am I part of the public?
13:58I think we're all part of the public.
14:00F***.
14:01It would affect basically the entire stock market and the entire economy.
14:05You could potentially even get a recession.
14:07I can't be bored.
14:10But Peter says if AI actually delivers on its promises, things could get even worse.
14:16If the bet pays off, AGI could potentially take all our jobs and we would have mass unemployment.
14:21Okay, okay.
14:22Stop, stop, stop.
14:22I don't care about any of this.
14:24Right.
14:24Capitalism is killing us.
14:26I mean, I don't think that it's necessarily capitalism killing us.
14:29The CEOs, the companies themselves, are saying there's a one in five chance their own technology might wipe out all of humanity.
14:36Would you fly in a plane that had a one in five chance of crashing?
14:39Well, are you on the plane watching my movie and not remembering I was in it?
14:43Because then, yes, I would like that plane to crash.
14:45There could be immense concentration of power or we could even fight, like, World War III over this technology.
14:53So we'll all die.
14:55But at least we'll be rich.
14:57Yes, until the death part.
14:59Right.
14:59That's fine.
15:00I can live with that.
15:01Man, you scared me for a second.
15:03Whether it crashes the markets, takes out jobs, or starts World War III, AI is changing the world.
15:11Just like the Manhattan Project.
15:13As a visionary genius once said,
15:16There shouldn't be any ambiguity over what a historic occasion this is.
15:20Just one of many great lines from my unforgettable character in Megan.
15:25Hint, hint, Peter.
15:29Thank you, Ronnie.
15:32When we come back, Ossie Wind will be joining me on the show, so don't go away.
15:36Welcome back to The Daily Show.
15:50My guest tonight is an award-winning magician and mentalist whose more than magic tour returns in January.
15:57Please welcome Ossie Wind.
15:58Thank you so much for being here.
16:16Thanks for having me.
16:17Yeah, I, okay, so I love magic a lot.
16:21I'm happy you do.
16:22I am a huge fan.
16:24And, um, I think that out of all the magicians that I've watched, especially because I really fell in love with it young,
16:30so I would watch it on, like, VHS tapes and just be, like, so engaged with everyone.
16:36And you're, like, the only magician that really looks like a normal person.
16:43I'm not sure it's a compliment.
16:45No, no, it's just...
16:46I'm just saying, there's, like, there's, like, I feel like so many people are trying to be, uh, like, extra, extra, like, out there, mysterious and everything.
16:54And you have, um, a presence and, and, um, a, just a general demeanor that's very inviting.
17:00And I'm wondering if that's on purpose, like, if you are, if that's your approach to magic.
17:06It's because I'm just not naturally cool.
17:09Um, so I go with the flow, you know, it's, yeah, here's, here's a real answer.
17:15I, I really think that, uh, people take themselves a little too seriously, and magicians especially, they try to look really cool.
17:23Let's face it, we are nerds, we do car tricks.
17:26So I'm honest about my...
17:30Take it from here.
17:33You know what I mean?
17:34No, I'm with you.
17:35Do you remember the first trick that you ever saw?
17:39I do.
17:40Uh, I don't know if it's the first one, but it's the, the one that got me.
17:43It's, uh, someone had a lit cigarette, he would make a fist, and he would push a lit cigarette into his fist like that, open his hand, and it's gone.
17:52And I learned it, and I, that's the only trick I wanted to do.
17:55I became a human ashtray.
17:57I, my, my parents were heavy smokers, you know, uh, and I would, mom, give me your, and I admitted, I also wanted to help their health.
18:05Yeah.
18:05Um, but it's really, I, that's the first trick that kind of comes to mind.
18:09Then would you do it as soon as they lit up, you're like, I gotta show you something, mom.
18:13Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, it's, it's, it's, it's a double purpose.
18:17It's amazing, and it saves life.
18:20Yeah, yeah.
18:21You know what I mean?
18:22Absolutely, and so your approach to magic, I feel like, is, is, is a bit different because, like I said, you're very inviting and everything, but you also have, um, you have an openness about what is going on that I think is unique.
18:37Because, like you said, with other magicians trying to be super mysterious and everything, I think a lot of other magicians want you to think that they have powers, like actual superpowers, and I feel like you're very much like, we're going to make something together.
18:52Absolutely.
18:53First of all, I feel like I'm in therapy.
18:55Um, but, but, no, and I like it.
18:58I really do like it.
18:59It's like I'm reflecting.
19:01But here's the deal.
19:01Yeah, I, it, it, it probably, probably manifests my, my opinions in life in general that, you know, uh, people ask me, like, what art do you like?
19:12You go to a museum, you see a piece of art or whatever.
19:15Which art do I, am I attracted to?
19:17It's the one that feels sincere.
19:19Meaning, if I see a painting with splashes of paint and this, every stick, every gimmick there is on a canvas, I go, ah, this guy's trying to impress me.
19:28And when I see, like, Lucian Ford, who I really love, the painting looks sincere.
19:33It looks like he meant every brush stroke.
19:36That's the one I like.
19:37So it's, I'm sharing my passion.
19:39I, something I thought, I was lucky, I was young, 13, I was young and stupid.
19:43I said, yeah, I can do this, you know, and, and I followed the dream because, and, and I'm sharing with, with the audience, hey, look, I love this.
19:51I hope you do too, you know, and I, let me show what I, it, yeah, that's my approach in, in life for a lot of things.
19:57So, yeah.
19:58Yeah, and, and not to put you on the spot.
20:00Hold on.
20:00No, also, yeah.
20:02Yeah.
20:09Wow.
20:10I don't need to do magic.
20:11I'm just going to say these things.
20:14Okay.
20:15Um, I don't want to put you on the spot, but do you have anything for us?
20:18But you're going to, you're going to put me on the spot.
20:19Yeah.
20:19But you don't want to do it.
20:20I don't want to.
20:21But you will.
20:22But I have to.
20:24Is it cool if I put you on the spot?
20:25Yes, let's do it.
20:26Okay, gotcha.
20:26Um, so let me show you something.
20:28This is, uh, again, thing, I, I wanted to do something that I have not done in a long time.
20:32Okay.
20:33Uh, and I'm going to show you what I mean.
20:34If you were just randomly, uh, to place your finger quickly, quickly on, on a piece, on a,
20:39on a, on any card.
20:40Go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
20:42You're going for five of diamonds.
20:43Can we see this?
20:44Five of diamonds.
20:45Now, I did it with the card's face up.
20:47It's a deliberate choice to me.
20:49Is there, do you, do you have a reason why you touch this and not this or this or that?
20:52Why five of diamonds?
20:53I don't have the best aim.
20:55I didn't want to poke your thumb.
20:56Okay.
20:57So this was a convenient choice.
20:59This was, yeah.
20:59No, so forget that.
21:00Okay.
21:01Five of diamonds is nice, but what if you were to name a card, any card you want?
21:05Okay.
21:05You would name what?
21:06Uh, king of spades.
21:08King of spades.
21:08Okay.
21:09King of spades.
21:10Right there.
21:10You don't want the, uh, five of clubs.
21:13You want king of spades.
21:14Sure?
21:14Yes?
21:15Yes.
21:16Yeah.
21:16Yes.
21:17Okay.
21:17Okay.
21:18This is not a quiz, but look.
21:19In the back, on the back of this card, if you look, I drew a little figure stick.
21:24You see this?
21:25Yeah?
21:25Stick figure, you're supposed to say.
21:27Stick figure.
21:28And it's, it's like a movie.
21:30You see this?
21:31It kind of moves.
21:32You see?
21:33It's so cool, right?
21:35Huh?
21:35That's a, that's a teaser.
21:37But listen, um, he knew how you think.
21:41He knew you're first going to touch which one you, five of diamonds first.
21:44Yeah.
21:44So look, look at this.
21:45Go, he goes behind a curtain and he keeps one card and it happens to be the five of diamonds.
21:51Wow!
21:59But hold on, hold on.
22:00He did not, no, he did not stop there.
22:02He knew he had five of, five of diamonds, right?
22:05He drops it to the ground and he keeps one extra card in the hat just in case.
22:09He goes inside and he pulls out one other card.
22:12It happens to be the king of spades.
22:14And now he has the five of diamonds and the king of spades.
22:24That's, that's dope.
22:27No, okay.
22:29Okay.
22:29We don't have, you want to do this?
22:31Okay, we'll do, we'll do this.
22:32Got you.
22:33Okay.
22:34But here's the thing that I, that I think when, when I, when I see how you do magic and how
22:41even like, you know, online there's people who go viral for magic tricks they do and everything.
22:46I think that your approach is so human that it is timeless because it will be, um, it will, it will last as long as people last.
22:56You know what I mean?
22:57Whereas I think.
22:58Which is very, very, I mean, not, not long.
22:5920 minutes, but like, but I think that in that, in that timelessness is that, is that also being factored in, into your approach?
23:09Do you think of tricks or do you want to do tricks that feel very like in the moment?
23:14That's a, a great memory, or do you look at them as things that should last?
23:19Absolutely.
23:20I mean, I, I want to do work that if I look back at it and go, I still love it.
23:23I still like it.
23:24Here's the deal.
23:25We live in a world where technology is a real threat to magic, right?
23:31We look at AI, we look at all the things.
23:33Magicians were always afraid of technology.
23:35There's a magician, David Devont, many years ago, was asked by a reporter,
23:39are you afraid of the new technology being a threat to magic?
23:42He goes, yes.
23:43And they were talking about the telegraph back then.
23:46They were scared then.
23:48But here's the deal.
23:49I'm not scared because technology cannot compete with one thing.
23:53People come to the theater, come to my show, I'm flattered by it.
23:56They buy a ticket, right, to see magic.
23:59Not because I do magic, because they want to see it.
24:03People have a desire to see magic.
24:05I'm only there to help them.
24:07So I think that's, they're the co-authors of the show.
24:11Without them, there is no magic.
24:13Some people say, ah, sleight of hand.
24:15You know, they can dismiss it in a second and they see nothing.
24:18Some people say, I want to believe, I want to see it.
24:20So for an hour and a half, I'm there to help them.
24:23No, I don't understand.
24:26Yeah.
24:31Yeah.
24:32It's very true as well because it's like, even as a magician and a very accomplished one at that,
24:37you're not sitting in your room by yourself like, I can't believe I did it.
24:42You know what I mean?
24:42Like you're...
24:43Sometimes, but, um, no, no, no, no, no.
24:46Never, never.
24:46I say, this is gonna, that's not gonna fool anyone.
24:48You know, and it's, so magic is, the way we go about it, it starts with a dream, right?
24:55I, my dream is to, like, let's say this thing I did with the cards, which is a classic.
24:59That's a modern classic.
25:00And this is my take on it.
25:01I wanted the idea of that, that little figure would, would be able to guess two cards.
25:06How do you do this?
25:07And you start and you think and you, you, you make a million versions until you get to a place,
25:12okay, this looks good.
25:14But it's, it's a lot of work and our job is to make it look effortless, of course.
25:18But it's, it's not.
25:19It's really a lot of work.
25:20And, and can you tell me about your, your show?
25:23You're gonna be in the U.S. and Australia.
25:25Yes, we're doing that.
25:26You've got nine shows at the Sydney Opera House.
25:28Yes, yes, and I'm very excited about that.
25:30So, we, we're continuing our East Coast More Than Magic Tour.
25:34We're going to have a bunch of dates in Florida.
25:36And after that, early February, February, we're gonna go to the Sydney Opera House.
25:42And I'm very excited.
25:44Very, very excited.
25:45Yes.
25:45Congratulations.
25:47It's gonna be special.
25:48Have you been?
25:48Have you been?
25:49Uh, I have been to Sydney, but not the Opera House.
25:54So, thanks for rubbing it in.
25:55I believe you can.
25:56No, but I believe you should.
25:58Let's do it together.
25:59You want to do it together?
26:00Yes.
26:00That would be crazy.
26:01Are you, are you being serious?
26:03Sure.
26:03Okay.
26:04You could just have me up there the whole time being like, oh, oh.
26:08That will help the show a lot.
26:10Yeah, yeah, yeah.
26:11That would really help.
26:11Usually people have like a beautiful assistant.
26:13I'll just be a scared one.
26:15He'll be both.
26:16He'll be both.
26:16Can I put you on the spot one more time?
26:19Can I say?
26:20Okay.
26:22Okay.
26:22So, um, I have a map of the United States.
26:28Okay?
26:29And, uh, I would like you to think of a random place, a city and a state in the United States.
26:36It has to be in the United States.
26:38You cannot choose Canada.
26:40I mean, soon you'll be able to, but as of now.
26:42No, I'm saying it's within, you know.
26:44And, uh, we're going to do something, uh, crazy.
26:49If I find, you, you already have a place, a random place in mind.
26:52If I find it right now and I say, oh, you're thinking of blah, blah, blah, not impressive.
26:56You will find it, not me.
26:58Okay?
26:58And here's how we do this.
26:59We just slide this.
27:00Okay?
27:02It's an incense, uh, stick, I think, yeah?
27:04Is that what you call it?
27:05Mm-hmm.
27:06Okay?
27:07And hold it, uh, by the corner.
27:10All right.
27:10And as I move over the map, whenever you call stop, I will poke a little hole with your eyes closed.
27:16You say stop, it's a Montana, it will be the state.
27:19Okay.
27:20But I will not be able to, you, you'll guess it by yourself.
27:22So close your eyes.
27:23Okay.
27:23And think about first the state.
27:25Think about the state.
27:26All right.
27:26And you say the word stop.
27:28One second.
27:29I'm just trying not to sneeze.
27:31Stop.
27:34Okay.
27:36Do I open?
27:37You can open your eyes.
27:38Okay.
27:38And we already know the, the, the state is, uh, Wyoming, right?
27:42And he stopped me and I stopped exactly.
27:44It's, the state is Wyoming?
27:46No.
27:49Okay.
27:50But it's close to Wyoming?
27:52Like if you took an Uber?
27:56No?
27:56No, no.
27:57It's fine.
27:57You can say no.
27:58No, it's fine.
27:59No, no.
27:59Okay.
28:00It's a new, yeah.
28:00I have an idea.
28:01What if I poke a bigger hole?
28:03It's going to keep burning, you know, and eventually it will get to your place.
28:09No?
28:10Okay.
28:10We'll try this.
28:11Okay.
28:11So here, I'll burn a little, like try to make a little bigger hole here.
28:17Okay.
28:17Yeah.
28:17There we go.
28:18It's cold.
28:18Yeah.
28:19Now, is your place east or west?
28:20Just tell me that.
28:21Um, it is, it is east.
28:23East.
28:23So think east and maybe the burn will go to the east.
28:26Okay.
28:27Oh yeah, yeah.
28:27It's kind of favoring.
28:28It's favoring east.
28:29It's favoring east.
28:30Right?
28:31What?
28:31Oh.
28:32Yeah, yeah.
28:32It's favoring east.
28:33Is it, don't say, just think south or north.
28:37Okay.
28:37Just think it.
28:38Okay.
28:38Okay, I can tell you right now, yeah, it seems to me that it's slowly making its way up north
28:45towards Canada, obviously, towards Iowa, Minnesota.
28:48Yes.
28:49Is it, um, your place is more, uh, north?
28:54No.
28:55You're saying no?
28:56Mm-hmm.
28:56Okay.
28:56So let's focus then south, okay?
28:59Okay.
28:59So if you focus south.
29:01Yeah.
29:01It's going north.
29:02Are you thinking south?
29:03Uh, no.
29:04Okay.
29:05So.
29:05I'm, I'm, I'm trying to, I'm trying to.
29:07So think, think, you have to think.
29:08Oh, I'm sorry.
29:09Maybe if you say, say, say, say south.
29:12South, south, south, south.
29:14Oh, oh, oh, look, it's making a U-turn.
29:15It's making a U-turn.
29:16Yeah, it's, it's pivoting down.
29:18It's going towards, uh, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana.
29:22Is that the right direction?
29:23Uh, yeah.
29:24Close your eyes.
29:24Close your eyes.
29:25Close your eyes.
29:25I want you to think now about the, uh, city.
29:29The city in, uh, the state you're thinking of.
29:31Mm-hmm.
29:31Are you thinking?
29:32Mm-hmm.
29:32It's going towards Missouri.
29:35Are we in the right state, Missouri?
29:37Mm-hmm.
29:37Yes.
29:37Okay, good, good, good.
29:38It's going, uh, let's zoom on.
29:40Yeah, we see it?
29:41It's going down and down.
29:43And whenever you want, take your time.
29:45Say the word stop.
29:46Oh, I thought something touched me.
29:47Okay.
29:48I'm sorry.
29:48Say stop whenever you want.
29:50Uh, stop.
29:50Stop?
29:51Yeah.
29:51Okay, let's see if it stops by itself.
29:53Do I open my eyes?
29:54Oh, it stopped, yeah, yeah.
29:55You see, it stopped.
29:56Hey, don't look, don't look, don't look, don't look.
29:57Oh, don't look.
29:58Can you tell us the place you're thinking of?
30:00Uh, Springfield, Missouri.
30:02Look where it stopped, right there.
30:04Wow.
30:05Open your eyes.
30:06We stopped on Springfield, Missouri.
30:08And by the way, if you ever find yourself in Wyoming and you're lost, this will guide
30:28you all the way, and you can, please, please.
30:31Oh, thank you.
30:33Y'all, uh, okay.
30:34And so this leads me to my next question.
30:41You know, you do great tricks and stuff, but there's got to be some people who don't
30:46love it after it's done, where they're like, does anybody freak out and run away?
30:52There's some people who freak out, run away, uh, hate me, uh, but, yes, some people don't
31:00love magic because they take it as a, uh, as a, uh, a challenge to, an intellectual challenge.
31:07And, and I'm not there to do that.
31:09I'm there to, I, I, I spend many hours just to figure out this magic, but some people take
31:14it too personal and they say, oh, this is offending, you know, offending me some way.
31:18So yeah, it, it happens.
31:20My job is with the humor and all that and presentation and there's lots of audience participation in my
31:25show is to tell, hey, we're here together to do this, you know, to have fun.
31:30Yeah.
31:31So.
31:31No, this is fun.
31:33This is very fun.
31:36And, and even though, even though I have been more freaked out than I thought I was going
31:41to be when I, I asked you to come on, uh, I, I am having a good time.
31:46I want you to think I'm not having fun.
31:48It looks.
31:49I, yeah, yeah, I, like, this is amazing.
31:52It's just taking a second to process.
31:54You know what I mean?
31:55It's like, I imagine what you do is like the first time somebody saw somebody dunk.
32:01Where they were like, I didn't even know you could, wow.
32:06I promise not to freak out.
32:08Can you show me one more thing?
32:09Sure.
32:10So now we're going into improv land.
32:13I have no idea what I'm going to do, but I'm going to try.
32:15Okay.
32:15So, uh, maybe we can get a shot from above.
32:18Can we see it from above?
32:19So you verified to the audience, all different, all mixed up.
32:23It's not the same card repeated, right?
32:25Uh-huh.
32:25So here's a question.
32:27If I just place them, let's say here, okay, name any card that pops into your head right
32:33this second.
32:33Remember the deck is here.
32:34I can't do anything.
32:35Uh, seven of hearts.
32:37You don't know where the seven of hearts, because the seven of hearts could be literally,
32:39could be here, right?
32:40It could be there.
32:41It could be right where I cut it.
32:44That is wild.
32:45In my country, that's considered amazing.
32:47Yeah.
32:47No, no, no, I'm just saying.
32:51Yeah, yeah.
32:51I'm just saying.
32:52They did not respond to it.
32:53Yeah, yeah.
32:53So I had to.
32:54No, I'm with you.
32:56Here, name a different card.
32:58Name a different card.
32:59Whichever you want.
33:00Anyone.
33:02King of Spades.
33:04King of Spades.
33:05Yeah.
33:05King of Spades.
33:05Remember, you chose before.
33:07Are you sure you want to still go to the King of Spades?
33:09Who?
33:09Oh, you see?
33:10Now, okay.
33:11That changes everything.
33:13Yeah, King of Spades.
33:14Okay.
33:15Now, you don't know where it is, right?
33:16No.
33:16Can you pick one?
33:17Take one out?
33:18Anyone.
33:18Pick one.
33:18Okay.
33:19One, one, one.
33:19One out.
33:20Oh, okay.
33:20Yeah.
33:21One, one.
33:21Not two.
33:22Okay.
33:22This or this.
33:23You're changing.
33:23Yeah.
33:24You want to change.
33:24You're good with this?
33:25I'm, I'm, I'm okay.
33:26You're sticking to this?
33:27Yes.
33:27And you want it to be King of?
33:29Spades.
33:29Spades.
33:30And you could have named any one of these cards.
33:31Take a look what you chose.
33:32Take a look.
33:34The, uh.
33:36This is crazy.
33:38This is crazy.
33:38Yeah.
33:39Yeah.
33:39By the way, not to be confused by you, a second to open your hand is, you, you chose King of
33:46Spades.
33:46Yeah.
33:46But, uh, you also chose Seven of Hearts before.
33:49So, if you switched it and you chose Seven of Hearts first, it would be this.
33:53Then I will change it again.
33:55You, you know what I mean?
33:56Yeah.
33:56I'm just saying, if we're, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's,
34:00it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's,
34:09just for backup.
34:12Okay.
34:12I'm, I'm so, I'm so glad you haven't started a cult.
34:19Thank you so much for being here.
34:21Thank you so much.

34:42Now, here it is.
34:43The Moment of Zip.
34:45A masked bandit caused a heck of a mess after breaking into a Virginia liquor store,
34:50leaving scotch and whiskey puddles all over the floor.
34:54How dare they?
34:55Police arrived at the scene to find the crime, and also the criminal, passed out in the bathroom.
35:01Here you go.
35:04Sorry.
