00:30...all within the confines of one spaceship.
00:32They showed me the set design and what the nightfly would look like, and it was all very exciting.
00:37We wanted to really steer away from your generic sci-fi.
00:40We wanted something a lot darker in its presence.
00:45This mission faces a threat you do not understand.
00:47One of the biggest characters in the show is the ship.
00:50The spaceship has a personality of its own.
00:53It's as if the ship is alive. In fact, sometimes we go, wait, is this ship alive?
00:57There's always a really ominous presence just lurking.
01:01There was something in there.
01:04It's a closed environment, and so when odd things start to happen, there's no escape.
01:08It took many months to design and build the sets.
01:13They are a complicated maze.
01:16You know, all these long, sweeping tunnels and everything, so it took, I think, a week to not get lost on the set.
01:20I'm like, wait, where the hell am I? How did I get back to here?
01:22The ship has corners and angles.
01:25It seems like it goes on forever.
01:27It's very large, and there's layers of the ship that can be peeled back over time.
01:32It gives you new kinds of scares to bring to the audience.
01:36There's no real CGI or green screen. Everything is an industrial set. You can touch and you can feel it.
01:42There's metal floors. There's windows. You can see space outside. We've got LED walls.
01:46There's this big, massive screen. It looks like you're looking into outer space.
01:49All the sets are kind of intense.
01:53All the decks, the command center, the living quarters, the medical bays, the mission labs.
01:59The different sort of the bowels of the ship are a certain way.
02:01The sort of front of house of ship is another way.
02:03And I've never seen a command center like this one on a ship before.
02:07Everybody's stations look hyper-realistic.
02:09One of my favorite parts of the set is the memory suite.
02:12If you walk into it the way it's designed, it has this really cool echo effect because it's almost like a perfect circle.
02:17You sit right in the center of it and there are lights flashing in your face. It's just super cool.
02:23The dome is where my mother's design.
02:26The jeweled life glowing against the blackness of space.
02:30There's nothing without the outer ring to support.
02:35There's six habitat domes that have been attached to the front of the ship.
02:39These domes are quite beautiful in geometric shape.
02:41Right now we're in the outer ring.
02:43And it's as if you're looking out into the domes as they're spinning around outside of the ship.
02:48It's beautiful.
02:50They actually build the dome outside and place it in the forest.
02:53And that kind of feels pretty cool.
02:55I just think it's quite a cool thing when you mix that organic industrial thing.
02:59Things are a bit different.
03:01I can't wait to actually see it come alive on the screen.
03:03If you set foot on any of the stages here, you immediately see just how much work has gone into creating the show.
03:15It's a complete brand new world that we've built from scratch.
03:18The whole thing is just so stunning and huge.
03:21Every single bolt, every single shape, every single detail of this world.
03:27There's nothing like it.
03:30Every time we have someone come to visit the set, you see it in their face.
03:38They are literally on a spaceship.
03:40And there's this feeling that comes over people, which is, oh my God, you built this.
04:10And there's this feeling that comes over people, which is, oh my God, you built this, oh my God, you built this, oh my God, you built this.
