A pro-China website based in Hungary claimed six senior officials from Taiwan’s Military Intelligence Bureau secretly traveled to the Netherlands in May to meet with their Dutch counterparts. Details about their identities and itinerary were then leaked online.

Some analysts say this move is China sowing discord within Taiwan. It could also cause tension between Taiwan and its allies.

The National Security Bureau said it will conduct a thorough internal investigation into this intelligence leak.
