Light Rail Museum marks anniversary of two historic steam trains
Transcript
00:00I'm Brad Johns and my brother Trevor here. We've got it both along
00:05associated in the Illawarra Light Rail Museum and Trevor's an ex-retired
00:11diesel locomotive driver from the AONS traffic department and I work for Sydney
00:16Trains. But here today is about remembering what happened here 47 years
00:21ago back in 1978 when both Wallaby and Borough were both donated to the society.
00:27In the time they've been here Borough went on to be first steamed after
00:32restoration in 1994, put into service in 1995 and Wallaby has always been here as our
00:38front icon. She's always attracted a lot of people here and just recently to mark
00:44the occasion of today is that Wallaby was repainted back into the original colour scheme of the
00:49area that it had come from, back to celebrate Australia's industrial railways.
