The Illawarra Light Rail Museum marks 47 years since they acquired Burra and Wallaby steam trains
Transcript
00:00I'm Brad Johns and my brother Trevor here. We've got it both along
00:05associated in the Illawarra Light Rail Museum and Trevor's an ex-retired
00:11diesel locomotive driver from the AONS traffic department and I work for Sydney
00:16Trains. But here today is about remembering what happened here 47 years
00:21ago back in 1978 when both Wallaby and Borough were both donated to the society.
00:27In the time they've been here Borough went on to be first steamed after
00:32restoration in 1994, put into service in 1995 and Wallaby has always been here as our
00:38front icon. She's always attracted a lot of people here and just recently to mark
00:44the occasion of today is that Wallaby was repainted back into the original colour scheme of the
00:49area that it had come from, back to celebrate Australia's industrial railways.
00:57Here are some real names, I'm not sure they're not from.
01:01Now, I'm going to show you the same and so on.
01:04When we approach the DIRO lately, we're going to show you the same and the amount of people
01:08to be ready for the event that we look to know.
01:10Some folks in this room will shop in the city
01:12and ask us all and how to put the event together.
01:14And here is how the event is for the event that we are going to work for any other
01:18bigger event.
01:19And then we're going to show you the same as the event.
