00:16We're in a grand brownstone on the Upper East Side that belongs to one of Meghan's friends.

00:21When I enter, the house manager announces,

00:24Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

00:26Even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house,

00:29the journalist claimed.

00:31Assuming the house manager didn't spontaneously wake up and think,

00:35I shall announce Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, at every opportunity today,

00:39we must conclude this absurd scene has been choreographed by Meghan

00:42for the benefit of the journalist,

00:44wrote royal expert Tom Sykes on the Royalist's substack.

00:48He also noted that although association with the royal family is significant in England,

00:53it doesn't hold the same weight in the United States.

00:55Meghan Markle has been accused of using her title for financial gain

00:59multiple times since she and Prince Harry left the firm in 2020.

01:08And she wants to use Sussex Royal as her branding,

01:11which she was told she wasn't allowed to.

01:13But it feels a little bit hypocritical to rely on that royal fame

01:17to sell products and maintain notoriety,
