00:00on a diet, on a diet, you can't have this. I wrote a book about this, which released me,
00:04unshackled me, because I was always trying to control and constrict. But because I also had
00:10a mother who took me to an obesity clinic when I was seven years old. You know what I mean?
00:15Because I weighed 81 pounds and should have weighed 78.
00:18Bethany, pause. What?
00:20She would say to me, like, I want to come back as you. And there was a competition with me. And
00:25I looked just like her, just with dark hair, the same features. And she was the most stunning
00:30woman ever. I can't imagine why she was like jealous of me or competitive. But she used to
00:36tell me like that foods that like fried tempura, she would say to me that it was really light
00:41because it was the Japanese fry it differently. So you can't gain weight on it. So she would be like
00:46one direction of like wanting me to eat. And then other directions of like having an eating
00:52disorder. So you were seeing like her trolley of laxatives and her like stopping the car on the
00:56highway, you know, because she had had too much coffee, she would say.
