00:00Hi, I'm Luanne de Lesseps, and you're watching Us Weekly.
00:21Let's talk about dating, walk us through your exes and the one lesson that you've learned
00:26from each of them.
00:27Oh, geez.
00:28Are we starting with losing virginity?
00:30How are we losing virginity?
00:33Well, I actually was a late bloomer, I didn't have sex until I was 18, senior prom, I mean
00:39how typical.
00:42And one tip I learned is I don't want to have first time sex in a car, it's very uncomfortable.
00:48So you lost your virginity in a car?
00:49I did.
00:50Typical.
00:51The entrance to your sexual career.
00:54And then after that?
00:57Well, then I had a boyfriend.
00:59I was a nurse in Connecticut and his name was Joe Wearsbicki.
01:03He wanted to marry me, right?
01:05I'd be Mrs. Wearsbicki, so I dodged a bullet.
01:08But it's a crazy story, but I tell this in my cabaret show, I come in, I was going to
01:15surprise him.
01:16After a nursing shift and I walk in and he's getting a blowjob from a queen, a drag queen,
01:23but a really unattractive drag queen.
01:25So guess what?
01:26A drag queen saved my life.
01:28So that ended that relationship.
01:29I'm going to make that into a song.
01:31I think you should.
01:32And have you heard from him since?
01:35No, you must be dead.
01:36I swear to God, because in all this time, and believe me, he tried to get me back for
01:42years.
01:43So it's been a long time.
01:45And what did you learn from that?
01:46That's where I learned that people have fetishes.
01:50And then after that, was the next guy the count or was it?
01:58No.
01:59Then I had, I dated Keith Hernandez, the Mets player.
02:04So I'm out and we have drinks and I meet Keith and we walk out and people start asking
02:11him for, and I was a model in New York at the time.
02:13So people started asking him for his autograph.
02:16I said, are you famous?
02:19He had, I had no idea who he was.
02:21And you were dating him at the time?
02:22And I was dating him, but I didn't know who he was.
02:24No, I just met him and I was walking down the street with him.
02:27We left to go out and people were asking for his autograph.
02:31And I go, you're famous.
02:35And he go, and that's what he loved about me is that I didn't know he was famous.
02:39So I think other famous people like it when you don't know they're famous.
02:42So that's what you learned from that relationship?
02:43That's what I learned from that.
02:44And how long were you with him?
02:46We dated for like six months for quite a while.
02:48And then I moved to Europe and I met the count.
02:51And what I learned from that relationship is that there is love at first sight because
03:01we got married after two weeks.
03:03So, and it lasted a long time.
03:05It's 16 years, 16 years.
03:08So we tell people, I say, you know, listen, I was married for 16 years.
03:13I have two beautiful children who are called Deliseps.
03:16So I'm keeping the title, bitches.
03:18I earned it.
03:19Yeah.
03:20And listen, Tom, he was a blip on the screen.
03:22I learned that pay attention to the red flags.
03:25With Tom.
03:26With Tom.
03:27Between Tom, there was Jack.
03:28Oh, Jack.
03:29He was such a sweetheart.
03:30We love Jack.
03:31You still buy his wine, right?
03:33No, he sends me the wine.
03:34I don't buy it.
03:35Yeah, of course.
03:36It's very good wine as well.
03:37It is.
03:38So, no, Jack and I have remained friends.
03:41And what I realized from that relationship is I'd rather have Jack as my friend for life
03:47than have a relationship that wasn't working.
03:50So we've remained friends all this time.
03:53And well, like I said, you know, I'm happy to have that friendship because it will last
03:58a lifetime as opposed to a relationship gone wrong.
04:01And then back to Tom, the lesson you learned there.
04:04Watch out for the red flags.
04:06Because love is blind.
04:07Love is blind.
04:08And, you know, listen, I was in love with Tom.
04:11No doubt about it.
04:12And what are your red flags in a relationship?
04:14Well, red flags for me are, of course, men that, you know, they're looking the other
04:20way.
04:21If you're sitting with them at dinner and their heads are like turning to see who's coming
04:24in the door.
04:25What are the red flags?
04:28There's many.
04:29People that are men that don't respect other people and the way they talk to them.
04:35Like I've seen guys treat people terribly and I hate that.
04:40And other red flags or he still lives with his mother.
04:45How about green flags?
04:47What turns you on and makes you do this?
04:48Oh, green flags are confidence or, you know, a guy that's successful, a man who is kind-hearted,
04:58who does things out of kindness and who adore me.
05:01That's the green flag.
05:02Somebody like James from the Love Hotel.
05:04Do you believe you've already met your soulmate or is this something you look forward to in
05:08the future?
05:09You know, I'm dating right now.
05:11So, um, I do believe in romance.
05:17I do believe that three times the charm.
05:19I sing that in my song, Mary F. Kill three times the charm.
05:23So catch me if you can.
05:26And so anyway, so, um, I believe in romance.
05:29I believe in love.
05:30What's life worth living without love.
05:32Right.
05:33Um, so I'm a hopeless romantic and, you know, would I ever get married again?
05:38I don't know what for.
05:39I mean, I have beautiful children.
05:41Um, I have, you know, career, beautiful homes, et cetera.
05:46I don't know.
05:47I mean, if a man were to step into my life and, um, you know, sweep me up my feet.
05:52I don't know if I would say no to that.
05:54Would you be the golden bachelorette if they asked you?
05:57Hell yeah.
05:58I'd love to.
05:59Oh my God.
06:00I did love hotel.
06:01Now the golden bachelorette would be great.
06:03Right.
06:04So why not?
06:05I mean, do you think you would throw those boys at me?
06:07I'm ready.
06:08Would you get married again?
06:09Yeah.
06:10I'll never say never.
06:11And like I said, I'm hopeless romantic.
06:13So you just never know.
06:15And that's what's so magical about life.
06:17You just never know.
