00:12That was a long news conference we had before, wasn't it?
00:15Today is Giving Tuesday.
00:18I don't know if anybody's heard that one before,
00:20but it is indeed Giving Tuesday,
00:23one of the biggest days of the year for philanthropy and charitable giving.
00:28And this afternoon, Michael and Susan Dell
00:31are committing to one of the largest private donations in American history,
00:35which will directly benefit the next generation of American children
00:39through the new Trump Accounts program
00:41that we created in our one big, beautiful bill.
00:45Michael and Susan came to see me, along with Brad,
00:48and they said, you know, this is an idea.
00:51And I said, I think, you know, it's just so good and so unique,
00:57but it is indeed Giving Tuesday,
01:00one of the biggest days of the year for philanthropy and charitable giving.
01:04In honor of America's 250th anniversary,
01:08the Dells are announcing today that they are giving 25 million American children
01:14$250 each to save and to invest in their personal Trump account.
01:20Now, that's the equivalent of $6.25 billion.
01:25In other words, to put it succinctly,
01:29Michael and Susan are giving $6,250,000,000 in total,
01:38and as a total contribution.
01:40That's big stuff.
01:41I don't care who you are.
01:43That's big.
01:44Come here.
01:45Give me a hand.
01:46Let me have a little of that luck rub off.
01:50That's fantastic, Susan.
01:52These gifts will be available to the first 25 million children aged 10
01:57and under the sign, the zip codes,
02:00where their median income is $150,000 or less,
02:04which will directly benefit the next generation of American children
02:08through the new Trump accounts program.
02:11This will give millions of dollars, millions of children,
02:14middle-class families a stake in American prosperity,
02:18a benefit from the rising stock market,
02:20and a better shot at the American dream.
02:22It really gives them a shot at the American dream.
02:26Michael and Susan, I want to thank you
02:27for this extraordinary act of kindness and patriotism and charity.
02:31Many others will follow Michael and Susan's example
02:34and make their own contributions.
02:36I'll be doing it too.
02:38And, you know, we believe the smartest investment that we can make
02:41is an investment in children.
02:43And this act has created a platform for families and friends
02:52and communities and companies and philanthropists
02:56to contribute to these accounts to create a savings and opportunity
03:03and prosperity for tens of millions of children in this country.
03:09We also saw that this act would become a platform.
03:15We believe that when children have a future that they can see is worth saving for,
03:24then that will help build hope and opportunity and prosperity for generations to come.
03:32So we're so excited to be doing this and hope to have many people join in our efforts.
