00:00From mom talk to the ballroom and now on to Broadway, Whitney Levitt is having her star
00:06moment. Following her gig on Dancing with the Stars, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wife star
00:11announced on December 1st that she will be making her Broadway debut in 2026. Whitney
00:18will be starring as Roxy Hart in Chicago for shows beginning February 2nd and running until
00:24March 15th at the Ambassador Theater in New York City. Grateful beyond words to announce
00:30that I will be joining Chicago Musical in the iconic role of Roxy Hart. See you in New
00:36York City, she captioned her announcement post, which featured her sitting on a chair and snapping
00:42her fingers to the intro tune of Roxy. Plenty of her Dancing with the Stars castmates threw
00:47her love and support in the comments section, including Alex Earle, who wrote, I'm so excited
00:53for you. I have chills. Elaine Hendricks added, congratulations, getting exactly what you
00:59wanted is pure girl fire. Whitney will be following in the footsteps of Vanderpump Rules alum Ariana
01:05Maddox, who also starred as Roxy after competing on season 32 of Dancing with the Stars. Ariana
01:12left a series of clapping hand emojis on Whitney's post to celebrate the exciting news. Whitney
01:18hinted at the new role while appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast with her Dancing with
01:23the Stars partner, Mark Ballas, last month. What I can say is that a dance that Mark and
01:29I performed on Dancing with the Stars is going to come to life, she teased at the time, playing
01:35coy on exactly what the gig entailed. However, those who had been watching Dancing with the Stars
01:42were quick to get the hint, as one of Whitney's most memorable routines this season was her
01:47performance to Cellblock Tango. Despite not winning the Mirrorball Trophy, Whitney and Mark, who were
01:53eliminated during the semifinals, showed Call Her Daddy viewers what they were cooking up for one of
01:59their finale performances, a truly epic cinematic freestyle that received raving reviews from fans
02:07on social media. Mark later explained on Instagram, I had this concept brewing for a while, made mood boards
02:14filled with imagery and inspiration, and I had been working on the music arrangement for two weeks.
02:21Just when it seemed like this idea was never going to have a life, we got the call from Call Her Daddy
02:26and ABC, and they made it happen. He went on to thank everyone who worked on it behind the scenes,
02:33along with a special shout out to Whitney. He wrote, I'm so proud of you and was so happy to share this
02:39experience with you. It's funny that you got your start on a reality show, but I got to see and know
02:44the real you. Congrats on all the exciting things coming up. The Mirrorball Trophy ended up, of course,
02:50going to Robert Irwin and Whitney Carson, with Alex Earle and Val Shmorkovsky coming in a close second,
02:57marking the tightest finale race in Dancing with the Stars history for first and second place.
03:02Following her exciting Chicago announcement, Whitney told Dancing with the Stars judge and extra
03:08correspondent Derek Huff over Zoom that landing the role as Roxy is so surreal. I could not be more excited,
03:15she raved, admitting that doing Dancing with the Stars felt like the ultimate audition. She added,
03:21we always have those delusional dreams, and it always seemed like something that was so
03:26unattainable. So the fact that it's like actually happening, it just feels like I'm pinching myself.
