00:00The farm gate price of palay, or prices of an husk rice directly purchased from farmers, continues to increase.

00:07According to the Department of Agrarian Reform, the price of dry palay has increased up to 21 pesos per kilo,

00:13starting when the strengthened implementation of the Sagip Saka Act, under Executive Order 100 and 101,

00:20was put into effect, where national government agencies and local government units can now directly buy palay

00:26from farmers without going through bidding.
