The White House kicked off the 2025 holiday season with an elaborate display titled “Home Is Where The Heart Is,” curated by First Lady Melania Trump and designer Hervé Pierre. Highlights include 75 wreaths, over 50 Christmas trees, 25,000 feet of ribbon, and a special painting of President Donald Trump holding up his fist moments after being shot.
The Red Room features the painting alongside a row of Christmas trees trimmed in burgundy ribbon, while a tree decorated with blue butterflies honors the foster care community, a focus area for the First Lady. In the Blue Room, an 18-foot tree adorned with gold stars and ornaments representing all 50 states pays tribute to Gold Star families—the immediate relatives of military members killed in the line of duty.
Additional festive elements include a miniature White House decorated with wreaths in every window, capturing the spirit of the season and celebrating both service and community. The display blends holiday cheer with personal and national tributes, marking the start of the White House celebrations.
