00:05the nature of the request for information submitted,

00:08what information has been sent back from the DOD so far

00:11in your conversations with the chair and mentor?

00:13Well, we had a brief on the first three strikes,

00:16and I have said this, you know, before 10 days ago,

00:22that they're tying themselves in knots trying to explain

00:26why this entire operation is legal.

00:30And I imagine eventually, I hope you have an opportunity to see

00:35the legal argument that they made to do this.

00:40It's important for the American people to see it.

00:45We have to get folks before the committee.

00:49And, you know, that process might take a little while,

00:53but I ultimately think we're going to get to the bottom of this.

00:56And, again, if what seems to happen actually happened,

01:01I'm really worried about our service members.

01:04I was talking about this from the beginning of this operation,

01:08that the thing that I am most concerned about

01:11is the very difficult situations that this Secretary of Defense is going to put service members into.

01:20And it's because this guy is so unqualified for the job.

01:26I mean, think about this.

01:27He runs around on a stage talking about lethality and warrior ethos and killing people.

01:36We have the most competent, capable military this planet has ever seen by far.

01:45That's not the message that needs to come from the Secretary of Defense.

01:51The message should be about what's our mission and accountability and the rule of law and training.

01:59And let me make sure you're equipped to do really hard jobs.

02:02Let me give you all the tools you need to do something that often is an impossible mission.

02:08And instead, he runs around on a stage like he's a 12-year-old playing Army.

02:16And it is ridiculous.

02:18It is embarrassing.

02:19And I can't imagine what our allies think of looking at that guy in this job,

02:28one of the most important jobs in our country.

02:32In my view, after the President of the United States, it is the next most important job.

02:38He is in the National Command Authority for nuclear weapons.

02:42And last night, he's putting out on the Internet turtles with rocket-propelled grenades.

02:52I mean, have you seen this?

02:53This is the Secretary of Defense.

02:55This is not a serious person.

02:58He should have been fired after SignalGate.
