Heavy Engineering Corporation got a new Chairman-cum-Managing Director in Avijit Ghosh, the former director (mining) of Hindustan Copper Limited. Ghosh replaced R. Misra after his tenure got over on 31st December, 2014. He became the 21st CMD to lead HEC ever since it was formed on 15th November, 1958.
