Black Friday shoppers slam Target’s swag Bag amid ongoing boycotts

00:04giveaway was supposed to be a fun holiday moment and instead it turned into the internet's new

00:09favorite roast. A viral video with over 2 million views shows shoppers opening their free gift bags

00:14and let's just say the energy goes from holiday magic to wait is this a joke real fast.

00:20Oh Target count your days because you have some nerve. A customer who waited in a freezing line

00:26for hours excitedly opened their swag bag only to pull out a single dose of perfect air drive

00:34shampoo, a packet of electrolytes drink mix, a three pack, a pack of uno cards, some nerd candy and this

00:45disgusting ugly shade of elf glow reviver. And to be fair Target did hype this up. Their promo teased

00:53holiday goodies, a cute limited edition tote and even a chance at big ticket mystery prizes like

00:59Beats headphones, a ninja drink maker, $100 Target gift card and other items over $99.

01:06One of the bags did have a coupon for a bigger ticket item and someone like four or five behind

01:11me got one of those but I didn't get anything. Unfortunately for many the highly anticipated

01:16swag bag left customers saying quote Target swag bag on Black Friday was a scam and has Sebastian

01:22swiping away the audacity of Target. His viral video has amassed over 8,000 comments. One joke the

01:29items look like they came from the dollar store and Mia explained not only is Target laughing at you

01:34but everyone's still standing on business and boycotting is laughing as well. Now normally this would

01:40just be a funny Black Friday meme but this comes during a weekend when thousands of people were already

01:45boycotting Target. So the swag bag fell instantly left customers feeling quote if they cared about getting

01:50our business back that bag would have been half full. Target has been under fire after reportedly

01:56backing away from several DEI initiatives under political pressure which sparked the quote we

02:01buying it boycott. Major groups like Black Voters Matter, Indivisible, Working Families Party and

02:07Intel Freedom encourage shoppers to skip Target, Amazon and Home Depot over the holiday this weekend and the

02:14reason to put economic pressure on corporations to defend democracy and freedom. So when people started

02:19posting their disappointing swag bags, the boycott crowd immediately jumped in with, didn't you know

02:24we were boycotting Target? And look, 2025 has not been Target's year. The downfall of Target must be studied.

02:30CEO Brian Cornell was just ranked one of the worst CEOs in America. Target stock is down nearly 50% over

02:36five years and customers have been complaining about messy stores, inconvenient security measures,

02:42understaffing and DEI rollbacks. But despite the disappointment and boycotts, Target still saw strong

02:47holiday traffic in categories like toys and apparel. But as the comments suggest, moments like this,

02:53small but very public, can add up, especially when the pressure is already high. And like the

02:57Starbucks barista cup fiasco, more consumers are catching on to the marketing schemes meant to drive
