Jon Bernthal is returning for more punishment. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the actor will reprise Frank Castle, aka antihero the Punisher, in a special for Marvel Television. The Disney+ show will air in 2026 alongside the second season for 'Daredevil.' 'Daredevil: Born Again' season one, which will see Bernthal appearing as Punisher, releases on Disney+ March 4.

00:13The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the actor will reprise Frank Castle,

00:17aka The Punisher, in a special for Marvel Television.

00:20The Disney Plus show will air in 2026 alongside the second season for Daredevil.

00:25Daredevil Born Again Season 1, which will see Bernthal appearing as Punisher,

00:29releases on Disney Plus March 4th.

00:31Bernthal first played the grieving father-turned-vigilante on Netflix's version of Daredevil,

00:36debuting the character during 2016's second season.

00:40He went on to headline his own series for Netflix,

00:42playing the title character for two seasons, which spanned from 2017 to 2019.

00:48And speaking of Daredevil Season 2,

00:50Daredevil himself, Charlie Cox, told THR ahead of the Season 1 premiere

00:54that there may be hope for the appearances of some defenders,

00:57such as Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, in the next season.

01:00Not in this season, but that door remains open.

01:08Those guys did such beautiful work on those characters.

01:12We had a lot of fun with the defenders.

01:14I absolutely think that there's license to bring them in to this show

01:20or maybe give them their own show.

01:21I don't even know.

01:22I mean, we know nothing.

01:23You know, so I hope that happens.

01:27I think it would be really fun to let them have a taste of Kingpin.

01:31Elsewhere, the Daredevil cast and creatives are already teasing what to expect from Season 2

01:36as filming gets underway this Friday.

01:39People are going to blow.

01:40It's going to blow their minds where it's going.

01:42The big thing to know is that this is Part 2.

01:45Season 2 is really Part 2, so the story continues.
