Netflix released the teaser trailer for the highly anticipated return of 'The Crown' on Friday morning, ahead of its launch during Sunday's 2019 Emmys telecast.

00:07Olivia Colman is making her royal debut as the new Queen Elizabeth. Netflix dropped the
00:13highly anticipated first look of The Crown and its entirely recasted season 3. The
00:19trailer opens up with the unveiling of the Queen's portrait to show Her Majesty's
00:22transition from young woman to now, giving us our first glimpse of Olivia Colman's
00:27aged up Queen Elizabeth, while also paying tribute to Claire Foy's portrayal of the
00:31young Queen. As previously reported, Foy, who won an Emmy for her portrayal of the Queen,
00:36parted ways with the Netflix drama after two seasons, along with others in the central
00:40cast when it was announced that the upcoming third and fourth seasons of the series will
00:44age up the show's central characters and chronicle Queen Elizabeth II's reign to the present day.
00:50Aside from Colman, other new cast members include Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret,
00:55Tobias Menzies as the Duke of Edinburgh, Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles,
00:59Angelina Anderson as Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, among others.
01:03Fans will have to wait to be introduced to the highly anticipated role of Princess Diana,
01:07played by Emma Corrin, which will now take place in season 4 of The Crown.
01:11Netflix's Emmy-winning Crown Jewel is set to launch its full season 3 trailer appropriately
01:16during Sunday's 2019 Emmys telecast, with the series returning Nov. 17.
