Sandra Bullock's longtime partner, Bryan Randall, has sadly died at age 57 following a private battle with ALS. News of his passing came as a shock to many as his illness was not publicly known.

00:06In a statement, it was noted that Randall passed away on Saturday after a private battle with ALS.

00:11Brian chose early to keep his journey with ALS private,

00:14and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request.

00:18At this time, we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Brian.

00:24Bullock is known to be private about her own personal life,

00:27however, has opened up about her relationship with Randall during a 2021 appearance on Red Table Talk opposite Jada Pinkett Smith.

00:34I found the love of my life. We share two beautiful children, three children, Randall's older daughter.

00:39It's the best thing ever.

00:41The pair met in 2015 when Randall was hired to photograph a birthday party for Bullock's son.

00:47He's the example that I would want my children to have.
