00:00President Trump issued a dire threat to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
00:05Get out now. The Miami Herald first reported a readout of a call between the two leaders last
00:10week, where Trump told Maduro in no uncertain terms to leave Venezuela immediately in order
00:16to save himself and his family. During the call, Maduro allegedly demanded to maintain control of
00:22his military and receive global amnesty for any crime. That is when President Trump offered his
00:29blunt demand, and the call pretty quickly broke down from there. The news comes as President Trump
00:35announced over the weekend that he's shutting down Venezuelan airspace, quote, in its entirety.
00:41This is his latest move to stop a surge in drug trafficking out of that country.
00:46And the Trump administration is not only taking to the skies, but the seas as well. In addition to
00:51shutting down the airspace, the U.S. military has a lot of firepower in the waters around Venezuela.
00:57The USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group has already been deployed to the Caribbean,
01:03and that group features 11 ships, over 70 aircraft, and nine carrier airwings. Now,
01:09the buildup has sent reliable Venezuelan allies, Russia and China, slinking away to avoid anchoring
01:15President Trump. Word is that the two countries have decreased aid to Maduro to pretty much the
01:21bare minimum as a purely symbolic gesture. And back here at home, some lawmakers on both sides of the
01:27dialogue have criticized the ramping up of force. President Trump's ally, Republican Senator Dave
01:32McCormick of Pennsylvania, was on Fox News Sunday defending the developments.
01:36We have a war that's coming through fentanyl, through opioids, through cocaine. It killed 100,000
01:43Americans last year. That's twice the number of people that died in eight years of Vietnam,
01:474,000 Pennsylvanians. And when President Trump was running, he and I both campaigned on the same
01:52thing, which was secure the border, designate the cartels as narco-terrorists, and use our military
01:59in a strategically focused way to destroy this cartel infrastructure.
02:05Luigi Mangione is back in court today for a hearing that could make or break his state case.
02:10Remember, there are three different cases against him. This is one of the murder cases,
02:15and it's going to be the first one that's going to trial. A Manhattan judge will hear arguments around
02:20Luigi's claim that his rights were violated when police officers searched his backpack without a
02:24warrant after arresting him at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Today's hearing will also
02:29look into whether or not he was questioned by police before being read his Miranda rights.
02:34If the judge agrees with the defense, it would pretty much destroy the prosecution's case.
02:41The contents of that backpack are the strongest evidence that they have at putting the alleged
02:47killer behind bars. The 3D-printed pistol used to murder UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
02:54The notebook explaining the motive. And the fake ID Mangione is said to have used to check into a New
02:59York City hostel when the crime was committed. Today's hearing will include an unusually high number
03:06of witnesses called to testify. A whopping 28 of them. And prosecutors also intend to play hours of
03:13body cam footage as part of the proceedings. A little girl's birthday party turned into the
03:20tragic site of a mass shooting in California on Saturday night. Three children ranging in age from
03:258 to 14 and a 21-year-old were shot and killed with another 10 injured after a gunman opened fire at a
03:32banquet hall in the town of Stockton. It's about 40 miles south of Sacramento. Authorities don't believe
03:38that this was some random act of violence either. The shooting, again, at a child's birthday party,
03:45appears to be targeted. Stockton's mayor, Cristina Fugazi, said Sunday night, quote,
03:50let's call it what it is. This is domestic terrorism. This is gang violence. And it has to stop in our city.
03:56And the local sheriff's office said that they had initially been looking for one shooter, but they're now
04:01open to the possibility of multiple assailants. Crime in the area is unfortunately far too common.
04:07Stockton is in the San Joaquin County, and it's the most dangerous area of California,
04:13with an average of 72 violent crimes per 1,000 citizens. That's about double the state average.
