00:00Hiro is the son of two extremely talented wizards who reside in an ancient, fantastical world full of magic and magical beasts.
00:06The continent of Japan is plagued by the presence of a giant evil dragon called Zot,
00:11and no one is powerful enough to stop the dragon from doing what it pleases.
00:14The dragon goes around, destroying cities and burning entire countries to the ground,
00:18and no one is strong enough to even try and delay the attack so that people can evacuate.
00:22A brave group of wizards that included Hiro's parents tried to seal the dragon once and for all by pretending to sacrifice Hiro's mom to the dragon,
00:28but as soon as Zot appeared, they all quickly tried binding the beast with their magic.
00:33Their magic, however, isn't strong enough to stop the dragon, and he tries to attack Hiro.
00:37Hiro's father quickly casts a very powerful protection spell on Hiro,
00:41which somehow is able to protect him but also connects both Hiro and the dragon by the same mark.
00:45The dragon then goes berserk and destroys the entire ritual ground alongside every single person around,
00:50leaving only Hiro alive thanks to his father's protective spell.
00:54Hiro is then taken in by Juru, one of the followers of Hiro's parents who is also a swordsmaster
00:58and ever since that day, Hiro has decided to avenge his parents' deaths by killing the dragon once and for all.
01:04Ten years have passed since the incident and Hiro travels to a new town,
01:07where he is checked by the guards before being let through into the city.
01:10He wanders around the area and looks for anything unusual,
01:13when suddenly a small girl comes forth and announces the arrival of a lord called Nambu.
01:17He comes on a chariot, surrounded by a bunch of guards,
01:20and throws copper coins at the people surrounding the area.
01:22The people seem to be very happy and fight with each other to pick up the coin.
01:26Hiro is very surprised after seeing this and wonders who this lord is,
01:29but suddenly notices a small kid who picks up a coin and runs away from him.
01:33When the kid reunites with his friends,
01:35one of them smacks him and tells him to leave the coin where he took it from,
01:37as it is coming from Nambu, who is a crappy person,
01:39and all this money that he is distributing is the money he stole from the general public through politics.
01:44Hiro takes an interest in the kids and notices that the kid who picked up the coin
01:47runs up and hides inside the chariot while no one is looking.
01:50He then leaves the area and goes near the market,
01:52where a person is trying to sell a crest,
01:54which is apparently an heirloom item said to be directly descended from the hero who last defeated the dragon.
01:59Hiro takes an interest in it,
02:00but notices that the boy who scolded the other fat boy for taking the coin snatched the crest away.
02:05He tries to run, but is captured by the seller,
02:07who hands him over to his giant bodyguard.
02:09He tells him to punch the kid three times and to take the crest back,
02:12but before he could do so,
02:13Hiro took out his sword and aimed it at the giant man,
02:16telling him to let the kid go and pay twice as much money as the seller wanted.
02:19The seller happily lets the kid go and Hiro takes the kid into an alleyway and asks whether he is okay.
02:25The kid snaps at him and calls him a dumbass, as this was all his plan.
02:28He was just distracting the seller and his guard so that the rest of his gang could steal his entire money bag instead of this crappy crest.
02:34He then turns around and runs off into the alley,
02:36telling Hiro that he is stealing a crest for him as compensation for wasting his gang's time.
02:41Hiro is shocked to see that the kid was able to steal a crest from his hand,
02:44even without him noticing and pursues him.
02:46He quietly enters the kid's hideout and surprises the kid by stealing the crest back from him.
02:50The kids surround him, telling him that he cannot escape.
02:53But Hiro very stupidly jumps out of the window backwards, just for style points.
02:57He then starts running away while the kids chase him on top of the roofs and on the roads.
03:01He keeps running away from them just for fun,
03:03but suddenly, one of the kids slips from the rooftop and starts falling.
03:07Thankfully, however, Hiro is able to grab his hand at the last moment, saving his life.
03:10Before he could ask whether he is okay, however, another kid comes out of an alley and screams at the leader of the kids
03:15that the fatty who snuck into Nambu's chariot got caught and Nambu has ordered his execution come dawn.
03:21The leader tells the rest to quickly go to the ground as they have to save fat no matter what.
03:25Hiro seems to find all of this very amusing and follows them.
03:28He reaches the execution grounds where the small girl, who seems to have a lot of magical power,
03:32is screaming about how Fatty snuck into their chariot and tried stealing a very valuable magical orb that belongs to Nambu.
03:37She tells the people to heed caution as they are going to make an example out of this boy,
03:42and if anyone tries to wrong Nambu, he will have to suffer the same fate.
03:45She orders the guards to execute him, but before they can do so,
03:48Hiro moves forward, talking big talks and trying very hard to act cool.
03:52A bit too hard, I'd say.
03:53He tells them to let the kid go, otherwise they'll have to deal with him.
03:57The little magic girl makes fun of him and tells the guard to beat him up,
04:00and the guards surround him from all sides.
04:02They try to attack him, but he dodges their attack,
04:04jumps over them, and kicks two of them away before brandishing his sword.
04:06The magic girl uses a spell on him, which causes a huge explosion,
04:10but Hiro is fast and is able to dodge the attack before taking his sword out,
04:14and he rushes towards her, attacking all the guards on the way.
04:17Surprisingly, every single guard is completely fine and unharmed.
04:20Hiro turns around and is surprised to see that, and he says that he believes he hit all of them,
04:24but because his sword is too short, none of them actually got hit.
04:28The magic girl laughs at him and tells the guards to surround him from all sides.
04:31He tells them to discuss the problems between them, so that no one gets hurt.
04:35What a coward.
04:36Suddenly, a man enters the area screaming Hiro's name and starts punching the guards away.
04:41It turns out to be Jiru, the guy who took Hiro in and the one who trained him in the art of
04:45swordsmanship alongside his little familiar.
04:47The guards surround them, and the magic girl takes out the magical orb that belonged to Nambu.
04:52Hiro is shocked to see that the magical orb they are talking about belongs to his father's staff,
04:56and he screams at her to give it back.
04:58The magic girl, however, draws on the powers of the orb and launches an insanely strong attack at them,
05:02but surprisingly, the attack gets deflected and lands on a mountain, destroying it.
05:07She looks at them in surprise, not knowing what happened, when suddenly, the evil dragon Zot starts emerging from the ground.
05:13Everyone starts running as the dragon emerges and locks his eyes on Hiro,
05:16and at the same time, the mark on his body starts hurting him.
05:19He is completely consumed by rage, and without thinking anything, he decides to jump and attack the dragon.
05:24The dragon is easily able to swat him down and knock Hiro out.
05:27Jiru quickly runs up to protect him and tries to shield him from any more attacks.
05:31All of the guards in the area start shooting crossbows in the direction of the dragon,
05:34without any care for Jiru or Hiro being in the way.
05:37The arrows have no effect on the dragon, but they start falling in the direction of Hiro,
05:41and Jiru tries his best to cover him with his body,
05:43but to everyone's surprise, the dragon deflects all the arrows coming towards them
05:47and starts destroying the city before disappearing just as suddenly as he came.
05:50Jiru quickly grabs Hiro, and takes him near the kid's hideout,
05:55where he tells them Hiro's backstory while he sleeps.
05:57Suddenly, he wakes up from a bad dream and is still dazed from his encounter with the dragon.
06:01He asks Jiru where the dragon is.
06:03Jiru explains to him about the strange behavior of the dragon and how it ran away afterwards.
06:08Hiro tells him that he is going to fight the dragon, but Jiru stops him.
06:11Hiro tells him to let him go, but Jiru has gotten a firm hold on him.
06:15The leader of the kids makes fun of Hiro for even thinking that he can defeat the dragon with his skills,
06:19and even Jiru tells him that it is a bad idea.
06:22Pao, their small beast friend, also agrees and tells him to find an alternate way to deal with the dragon.
06:27Hiro suddenly remembers his father's orb, which is in the hands of Nambu right now.
06:31He decides that his first order of business is to get the orb from Nambu
06:34and figure out how to draw its full power so that he can be a step closer to defeating the evil dragon.
06:39He asks the leader of the kids about the location of Nambu,
06:42and he replies that he has already left the city.
06:44He informs him that Nambu won't stay long as he is an arms dealer.
06:47He visits different countries and sells them weapons before turning them against each other
06:50so that they fight, which will require even more weapons.
06:53Whichever side pays him more ends up winning the war and gaining even more power,
06:57subsequently giving Nambu even more power.
07:00They walk around the city when they realize that all of them are hungry.
07:03Pao, however, tells them that they don't have a lot of money,
07:05so they'll have to fight for a cheap place.
07:07They spot a couple of places, but all of them deny them entry
07:09because they associate the dragon with Hiro, because it protected him.
07:12The three of them walk around the alleys, sad and hungry,
07:15when suddenly a Catwoman calls them from above and jumps down to talk to them.
07:19She tells them to follow her, as she has a place where they will get enough food and drinks.
07:22She takes them to a place where they order a bunch of food and start eating.
07:25While having their lunch, the Catwoman starts asking Hiro questions about Zot
07:29and where he came from,
07:30and finally asks whether he is the son of the famed magician who tried sealing the dragon away.
07:35Jiru gets alert at this statement and reaches for his sword,
07:37but the woman just gets up and introduces herself as Erin before calling Hiro by name
07:41and telling him that they will meet again.
07:43She then walks out, leaving them to finish their lunch.
07:46After lunch, when Pao was getting up, the restaurant people brought him a bill,
07:49which surprised him, as he thought the establishment was owned by the Catwoman
07:53and all this food was free.
07:54That's why he ordered the most expensive food from the restaurant.
07:57He is forced to spend the majority of the money they had to pay for it,
08:00and is even unable to get a room and in to sleep.
08:02Instead, they end up going to the kids' place where Hiro lays down
08:04while the leader of the kids tells them to piss off.
08:07Fatty, however, intervenes and tells the leader that Hiro and his group did save his life,
08:11which changes the kids' minds and he decides to let them stay here for a night.
08:14The next morning, they are greeted with an amazing breakfast spread cooked by Jiru himself.
08:18They'd all eat their fill before Jiru tells Hiro that they need to practice his swordsmanship,
08:22as even after 10 years, he's a very crappy swordsman.
08:25Jiru takes Hiro and Pao outside the city and shows Hiro a bunch of small slimes
08:29that are very weak monsters but can be very fast and annoying.
08:33He tells them to kill them all and leaves Pao to look over him
08:35while he himself goes to do some other work in the city.
08:38Hiro tries persistently to kill the slimes but he is unable to kill any of them,
08:42which is very embarrassing after his big talks.
08:44He keeps making excuses like his sword is too short or that the slimes are too small,
08:48but in all honesty, he is just a trash swordsman.
08:51He believes that if the target was a bit bigger, he would be able to deal with them very easily.
08:55Suddenly, he spots a giant sand dragon behind Pao and decides to attack it and sell its remains to the shop,
09:00which might give him a bunch of money.
09:02He jumps forward and hits the dragon, but it does no damage and he is forced back.
09:06Suddenly, the dragon opens his mouth and a young girl of the same age as Hiro comes out of it and thanks the sand dragon.
09:12The dragon simply goes away and the girl walks towards Hiro before hugging him and telling him to come with her.
09:17She introduces herself as Sarah and asks for his name.
09:20Hiro introduces himself and then asks if she has any business with him,
09:23to which she replies that she does not.
09:25He then asks her why she is here, to which she replies that from now on, she will stay wherever Hiro is.
09:31Hiro is extremely confused by this situation as a random girl just emerged from a dragon's mouth
09:35and is now telling him that she will stay with him forever.
09:38Shortly, Jiru arrives and asks Hiro about the girl, to which he and Pao explain the entire incident.
09:44He seems to be very apprehensive of her and even draws his sword, but Hiro tells him that she seems harmless.
09:49Jiru then advises him that they should just sneak by and not get involved in matters that don't concern them.
09:53Hiro looks around and spots Sarah crouching on the ground and picking pebbles and Jiru,
09:57meanwhile, makes him sneak past her, and they start running away.
10:01Even when he is running away, he can't help but look back at her longingly.
10:04After they reach back to their hideout, Hiro seems to be lost in thought and the kids make fun of him about this,
10:09claiming that Hiro is in love and all he needed was a girl to forget his vengeance,
10:13and now he is not going to deal with the dragon anymore.
10:15Hiro flicks out at them, tells them that the dragon takes priority for him no matter what and starts eating his lunch.
10:20He looks at the kid and tells him that the girl looked very lonely and lost.
10:24She was literally picking pebbles and he left her alone in the desert.
10:27That is why he feels bad, and that's it.
10:29The kid looks at him and tells him that all the rest of the kids in his group are orphans.
10:33None of them had anyone to look after them, and every single one of them survived and was able to find each other and become friends.
10:38She will also survive and find friends if she wants them.
10:41Hiro looks at him, but before he could say anything suddenly, Sarah barges through the door and walks straight towards Hiro,
10:46saying that I found you.
10:47Hiro tells everyone that she cannot stay outside and will be staying with them,
10:51and then she takes her to the room inside.
10:53I don't know why they went inside the room, but they did.
10:55The next day, Hiro takes Sarah with her and goes out into the desert once again to train.
11:00He is still unable to deal with the slime, no matter how hard he tries.
11:03Sarah doesn't seem to have any social intelligence and has no idea how the world operates.
11:07Hiro starts thinking about how she will survive if she is on her own,
11:10but his thoughts are interrupted by a low growl.
11:13When he turns behind him, he sees a giant wolf standing on top of a hill, looking down on him.
11:17He immediately gets out his sword and tells Sarah to stay where she is.
11:20The wolf jumps at him and tries to stab it, but fails, and the wolf gets a good hit in, injuring his shoulder.
11:26To get surprised, the wolf then proceeds to ignore him completely and moves towards Sarah.
11:30He starts flailing his sword around, trying to catch the wolf's attention.
11:33But the wolf isn't taking his eyes off Sarah and is slowly moving towards her.
11:36He decides to make one last ditch effort to save her and runs straight up to the wolf.
11:40The wolf then turns around and jumps on him, but thankfully, he is able to slide beneath him and by luck,
11:45hit the wolf right between the eyes with his sword, immediately killing it.
11:49He asks whether Sarah was okay, and she replies that she was fine but went into a state of trance,
11:53which happens sometimes.
11:55She looks at Hiro's bleeding soldier and puts her wand near it.
11:58Suddenly, the wound starts healing and within a matter of seconds, it is completely healed.
12:03Hiro thanks her and then carries the wolf back to the market, where he is able to sell it for a decent bit of money.
12:07He starts walking back, but on the way, he spots a group of guards forcing a father away from his child
12:12so that they can take the father and force him to work in the men shats.
12:15Hiro is unable to stand and watch this injustice, or more realistically, he just wanted to impress Sarah,
12:20but he goes up to the guards and tells them to unhand him immediately.
12:23The guards obviously don't listen to him and try to intimidate him,
12:26but Hiro the dumbass dodges one of their blows and acts smugly to impress Sarah,
12:30but immediately gets struck by the second spear in the head and gets knocked out,
12:34and Sarah doesn't do anything because he explicitly told her to just stand and watch.
12:38She just stands there and comforts the children while the guards drag Hiro away.
12:42Sometime later, the kid and Jiru both arrive and ask Sarah what happened.
12:46Sarah explains everything to them, and then they decide to infiltrate the mansion,
12:50where he is being kept captive to save him.
12:52Hiro, on the other hand, wakes up in a prison surrounded by a bunch of other men
12:55who seem to have lost all hope of escape.
12:57The father who Hiro is trying to save looks at him and apologizes for dragging him into the mess,
13:02as most of the people who go to work in the mineshaft
13:04are never able to come out of it alive because of the terrible work conditions there.
13:08Hiro gets up and tries to inspire them that they should not lose hope so easily,
13:12and he will lead them all to freedom and safety.
13:14He then produces the fake crest that he overpaid for when he first came into the town
13:17and starts hammering it on the wall,
13:19claiming that he will make a hole through the wall and break it.
13:22The rest of the prisoners look at him as if he were mad
13:24and just start brooding over their misfortune to be captured alongside an idiot like Hiro.
13:28Thankfully for everyone, however, Hiro's friends are not half as incompetent as him
13:32and are able to infiltrate the mansion and free everyone from the prison.
13:35They then run away and return to their hideout, preparing for the coming days.
13:39The next day after breakfast,
13:40Guru tells Hiro that today he has to go and train again,
13:43and Hiro believes that he will simply go with Sarah again and have a fun time,
13:47but he doesn't know that Guru has other plans for him.
13:49He tells him that he is going with him, not Sarah.
13:51Hiro seems annoyed at that fact and looks at him accusingly.
13:54Jiro tells him that it's for his benefit, and Hiro agrees to go.
13:58After coming on the road, he realizes that he is still being followed by Sarah,
14:01so he tells her not to follow him today as he will be back soon and gives her a gold coin,
14:05telling her to roam around and see whether she likes anything.
14:08And if she does, she can buy it with the money.
14:10This idiot knows that Sarah knows nothing about this world,
14:12and yet he told her to roam around in a dangerous city all alone.
14:16She calls the gold coin a pretty pebble for God's sake.
14:18How can Hiro be so dumb?
14:20She wanders off and Hiro follows Jiro again into the desert.
14:23Once there, he thinks that he will be fighting the slimes again and gets his sword out,
14:27complaining all the while about how he is sick of fighting these slimes,
14:30but Jiro is ready to completely destroy his career.
14:32He outright calls Hiro a crappy swordsman.
14:35He tells him that all he does is talk big talk about how he is going to take revenge and kill the dragon,
14:39but in reality, he is a pathetic little man who cannot achieve anything by himself.
14:44Hiro starts getting triggered and tells him to shut up,
14:46but Jiro continues telling Hiro the truth about him.
14:48He is weak and has no tenacity.
14:50If he was really so serious about killing the dragon, he would have trained every day on his own.
14:55Instead, Jiro literally has to push him to go and train,
14:57and even after so many days, he is unable to kill even a single slime.
15:01He tells Hiro that he is nothing compared to his parents,
15:03and he can never be enough to do anything if he keeps going the way he is going.
15:06This finally tilts him completely, and Hiro rushes towards Jiro like an idiot
15:10and gets stabbed to the ground like an idiot, getting knocked out and bleeding.
15:13Suddenly, Pal and Tom emerge from behind a rock and rush up to Jiro,
15:17asking him if he has lost his mind as the injuries are very deep.
15:20Jiro, however, picks him up without a word and tells them that they are going to the Healing Springs.
15:24He explains that he saw a quest that said that a squid monster is seen inside the Healing Springs
15:28and anyone who gets rid of it will receive 300 gold coins.
15:32That's why he chose a training area closer to the spring, so that they can get a little rough.
15:36They go into the springs and Jiro lays him down inside the water,
15:39and in no time his wounds heal completely.
15:41Jiro tells them that he wanted to see whether Hiro had a strong resolve,
15:44and whether he would attack him for real if Jiro was standing in the way of revenge.
15:48But he never expected him to have such a strong resolve that he would try to go for the kill.
15:52Hiro then tells them that he thinks they are ready to move forward from this town and go after Nambu.
15:56Hiro is extremely happy listening to this,
15:58and he starts planning the things that they will need for the journey,
16:01but he suddenly stops when he hears a big sound coming from the other end.
16:04They are all shocked to see a giant squid inside the spring alongside the magic girl.
16:08The magic girl commands the squid to capture Hiro,
16:10but the squid goes for Sarah instead and also grabs the magic girl.
16:14The squid starts destroying everything around them and throws the magic girl away.
16:18Thankfully, Jiro rushes to Sarah's rescue and chops the squid into a thousand pieces, killing it.
16:23Hiro runs around looking for Sarah and he notices a shining thing inside the spring.
16:27He runs towards it to find the gold coin clutched inside an unconscious Sarah's hand.
16:32He picks her up and is happy to see that she seems to be okay.
16:34They then try to go and get the bounty for killing the squid,
16:36but it turns out the quest was fake, set up by the magic girl,
16:39who wanted to lure Hiro to the spring.
16:41Regardless though, they are able to get a lot of money after selling the squid meat,
16:45which is enough to buy a set of chain mail for everyone in the party.
16:47The next day, they start leaving and surprisingly,
16:50Tom runs up to them and declares that he will be going with them.
16:52The rest of the kids are shocked as they don't know what to make of their boss suddenly ditching them.
16:57They cry and moan to try and stop Tom, but Tom is one heartless lad and ditches them nonetheless.
17:02On the way, they meet Erin again, perched up on the rock,
17:05and she tells them that she has the exact location of Mambu
17:07and will only give it to them if they let her accompany them.
17:10And Hiro immediately agrees, happy to get another girl in the party, I guess.
17:14They all begin their journey and enter a desert where everyone else seems to be less excited,
17:17but Hiro, the senseless idiot, thinks that traveling through the desert,
17:21one of the harshest places, would be a joyride.
17:23They walk through some difficult terrain, cross some bridges,
17:25and finally reach an area that has a few trees and some shade where they can rest.
17:29Jiru starts planning their day and preparing for the journey ahead.
17:32He plans to make a camp somewhere close by because this area has a small stream,
17:36which means they won't have to look far for water,
17:38and because of the trees, there must be a bunch of animals as well,
17:41which they can hunt and eat.
17:42They all seem to be pretty content with the place when suddenly,
17:45Eren senses something and looks behind to see a giant bird flying towards them
17:48at an incredible speed.
17:50The bird misses her by a few inches, but decides to turn back and attack them again.
17:54Everyone else hides behind a giant rock,
17:56but because Hiro is a pathetic man with no power,
17:58he tries to show everyone how cool he is,
18:01thinking that killing a bird wouldn't be that hard.
18:03Jiru tries to stop him, but he doesn't listen to him and jumps towards the bird,
18:07only to get smacked away by it instantly.
18:09Jiru, however, quickly jumps towards the bird and manages to scare in a way,
18:13protecting Hiro from any unnecessary damage.
18:15Jiru tells the rest that they are going inside the forest to make a camp,
18:18but the rest seem to be against this decision as they are scared of the bird coming back.
18:22Jiru, however, reassures them by telling them that the bird will have more trouble attacking them in a dense forest,
18:27as it will be very hard to maneuver through it.
18:29They still seem to be a bit apprehensive, especially for the night,
18:32but Hiro the dumbass tries to raise their spirits by telling them that they don't have to worry,
18:36as he will be staying on guard tonight and nothing can harm them when he is there.
18:39I am pretty sure it made the others even more anxious to hear that the pathetic Hiro was going to guard them.
18:44They all agree with Jiru nonetheless.
18:46They all set up camp for the night, and Jiru and Hiro go on watch duty,
18:49while Pal and Tom smoke the meat to preserve it, and Aaron and Sarah go to fetch some water.
18:53While smoking some meat, Pal reminds them that it has been some time since the two girls went to fetch water,
18:58and maybe someone should go and check them out.
19:00Hiro, obviously, is a simp, and he volunteers to go find them.
19:03He goes near the Moonlit Lake, calling for Sarah when he hears a beautiful melody,
19:07which turns out to be Aaron playing her harp on a tree.
19:09She tells Hiro not to worry, as Sarah is on the other end, playing with water.
19:13Hiro looks at her and asks her why she is here, as she has nothing to gain from this expedition.
19:18Aaron replies that she is a seller of information and people give her a good price for the right information,
19:22and if she travels with him, she will always have information about the movement of Mambu,
19:26which will benefit both her and Hiro.
19:28The next day, they start traveling through the desert, where unbeknownst to them,
19:32the bird is still following them, translating all the data to Mambu,
19:35and the magic girl is back at their base.
19:37They, however, fail to notice it, and magic girl takes advantage of it.
19:40They walk near the end, where the desert connects with the sea,
19:43but suddenly, a magic girl along with her troops,
19:45and a couple of giant golems appear through a magic circle and straight up attack our gang.
19:50Jiri tells everyone to stick near him, but obviously, because of the absolute pain in his ass,
19:54Hiro tells him to take care of the rest while he deals with the magic girl.
19:57Hiro screams at him to stop, but he doesn't, and he engages the magic girl in a duel.
20:02Hiro tries to follow Hiro, but the giant bird tries to attack the rest,
20:06so he is forced to stand his ground.
20:08Hiro and the magic girl both run towards each other,
20:10and the magic girl uses a pretty powerful electrical magic blast,
20:14which again hits Hiro very easily, and he falls to the ground screaming.
20:18Hiro looks at his pathetic performance and knows he will have to help him,
20:20so he tells the rest to follow him as closely as possible,
20:23while he slays any enemy that dares come near him.
20:25Hiro, on the other hand, tries to get up.
20:28The magic girl uses another attack, which unleashes a bunch of ice shards at him.
20:32He tries to block them with his sword, but fails, and even his sword breaks.
20:36Jiru becomes desperate to save him and runs up one of the golems,
20:38stabbing its core and killing it in one blow.
20:41Pal decides that things are getting out of hand,
20:42so he uses a magical card that summons a girl through a magical chest.
20:46She asks Pal what he wants, and he replies that he wants Sarah and Tom to be taken somewhere safe,
20:50and then he simply throws both of them inside the chest,
20:53and then the girl gets in, and the chest disappears.
20:56Magic girl walks towards Hiro with her guards and uses him as a lure to bring out Jiru,
21:00who rushes forward to save him, but magic girl is ready for it and uses her dark magic to capture him.
21:05She then starts torturing him, slowly bringing him closer to death in front of Hiro,
21:09telling him that he is the reason Jiru is going to die,
21:12which when you think about it, is not really wrong.
21:15She tells Hiro to stop resisting and come with her to Nambu,
21:17and they will let Jiru live, but if he doesn't,
21:20she will torture and kill Jiru in front of him.
21:22Hiro is stuck in limbo now, on one end he cannot let himself be captured,
21:26but on the other end he cannot let Jiru die.
21:28She keeps stabbing Hiro's hand while torturing Jiru,
21:30all the while forcing him to reach a decision,
21:32but something inside of Hiro snaps,
21:34and he slashes at the magic girl's umbrella, throwing it away.
21:37He gets completely enveloped in an eerie purple aura,
21:40and his nails start becoming more like claws.
21:42He gets up, and within a couple of seconds,
21:44destroys every single guard around him, just with his bare hands,
21:47which utterly shocks the magic girl,
21:49who just looks at him with her mouth open.
21:51She starts backing off, but after killing everyone,
21:53he jumps to finish her and the final remaining guard,
21:55but the magic girl quickly gets her umbrella back,
21:57and creates a magic circle around her.
22:00Hiro jumps to reach her, but midway he collapses and becomes unconscious,
22:02and his aura goes away, just in time for the magic girl to escape.
22:06Hiro finally wakes up and finds himself in the middle of nowhere.
22:09His whole body feels weak, and he is having trouble even speaking.
22:13Through the desert heat, he spots a caravan going by him,
22:15and to the surprise on the caravan,
22:17he spots none other than Nambu himself,
22:19alongside a regal-looking woman.
22:21At first, he thought that they were here to capture him,
22:23but it turns out that even Nambu doesn't give a crap about him,
22:26which is very sad, to be honest.
22:28He starts following the caravan instead of looking for Jiru,
22:30the person who almost died protecting his life.
22:32He hides behind a rock and sees that the caravan has formed a circle near a valley.
22:35They have surrounded two guys and an orc, who are all tied to metal chains.
22:40Nambu looks at the woman and calls her queen,
22:42which makes Hiro think that the woman must be the queen of some country,
22:45which Nambu is selling weapons to.
22:46He tells her that he has brought her to show her something that he has created specifically for her.
22:50He then calls the doctor, who is working on top of the cliff.
22:53He presses some buttons and a bunch of molten liquid falls on the orc and the humans.
22:57The queen backs off in disgust, and Hiro watches in horror as the steam fades,
23:01the humans have vanished from the chains, and the orc has been converted into a hot gloopy mess.
23:05Suddenly, however, the goop starts moving, and a hybrid freak monster erupts from it.
23:09Nambu proudly presents the monster to the queen,
23:11telling her that this monster is as freakishly strong as an orc,
23:14but as smart as an average human,
23:15which removes the one downside of orcs, which is their poor intelligence.
23:19The monster immediately breaks off from the chain and rushes towards the queen,
23:22who shouts in horror, but Nambu tells her not to be scared,
23:25and immediately his guards make a circle around the monster and stab it from all sides,
23:28killing it in an instant.
23:29The queen seems to be very impressed,
23:31and Nambu tells her that he can provide several hybrid monsters like these,
23:34and she can use them in her army.
23:36After that, no one can defeat her or even think to deny her orders.
23:39The queen is delighted after hearing this,
23:41thanks Nambu for his hard work,
23:43and reassures him that he will be paid for his troubles.
23:45They were just about to leave when the idiot Hiro,
23:47who just wants to play the hero of a story,
23:49walks from behind the rock towards them,
23:51giving them a moralistic speech about how it is wrong to use human lives like that,
23:54but he doesn't say anything about the life of the orc,
23:56which makes me suspect that he is secretly racist and probably gay.
24:00The queen asks Nambu who this pathetic boy is,
24:02and Nambu replies that he is just another piece of entertainment for her.
24:06Nambu tells his guards to back off and steps in front to fight Hiro.
24:09Hiro goes for his sword and realizes that it has been broken in the last fight,
24:13but this hopeless loser tells Nambu that it doesn't matter,
24:16and that he can very easily defeat Nambu with just his bare hands.
24:19Nambu draws his sword and the fight starts.
24:22Hiro jumps towards him with a punch,
24:23but Nambu is easily able to dodge it.
24:26Hiro quickly tries to punch him again,
24:28but Nambu dodges and counters with the blunt end of his sword,
24:31giving him a good bonk.
24:32He then puts his sword on his throat, ending the duel,
24:34and tells his guards to capture the idiot and bring him with them.
24:37On the other end,
24:38Pal and the others emerge back from the magical chest
24:41and are shocked to see so many dead guards and a piece of Hiro's sword,
24:44but most of all,
24:45they are concerned about the main chat of their company,
24:47Jiru.
24:48They wander around the area and finally spot Jiru lying in the dirt,
24:51unconscious and badly hurt.
24:53Tom tries to wake him up,
24:54but he doesn't get up.
24:55Sarah goes up to him and touches him on the hand,
24:57which for some reason wakes him up immediately,
24:59and the first thing he asked about is if Hiro is safe.
25:02We all need a gem like Jiru in our lives who cares about us so much.
25:05Nambu takes Hiro back to his camp and ties him up to a chair,
25:08which seems very kinky,
25:09but believe me,
25:10it is just for torture.
25:11He brings out a bag of his favorite torture devices,
25:14which seem very vanilla to me,
25:15to be honest.
25:16He brings out a knife and walks up to Hiro,
25:18telling him that he is now going to torture him
25:20and get as much information out of him as he wants,
25:22but Hiro can just skip the painful part
25:24and tell him all the information he needs,
25:26and he will let Hiro go.
25:28He asks Hiro about the dragon
25:29and what he knows about its ceiling.
25:31Hiro, however, keeps his mouth shut.
25:33I don't know why,
25:33because everyone already knows about the entire story,
25:36which is very famous.
25:37My guess is that this is the first time
25:39he is getting attention from someone
25:40and he is enjoying it,
25:41so he wants to keep it going for some time.
25:43Nambu tells him that he will have to slice him piece by piece
25:45if he doesn't start speaking,
25:47but Hiro acts tough and tells him to do his worst,
25:49but by the time Nambu reaches him,
25:50he starts pleading for mercy
25:51and telling Nambu not to hurt him.
25:54I have never seen such a joke from an MC before.
25:56Nambu was about to torture him,
25:58but he hears commotion from outside
25:59as the queen has some complaints
26:01regarding the hospitality,
26:02and he goes to deal with it,
26:03telling Hiro to chill where he is.
26:05Hiro quickly unties his legs,
26:07I don't know how,
26:07and gets out the crest that he bought from the first city
26:09and starts using it to cut himself loose,
26:11but suddenly,
26:12the doctor enters the room.
26:14Hiro gets scared,
26:14thinking that the doctor will now torture him
26:16or tell on him,
26:17but even the doctor thinks that Hiro is so insignificant
26:19that he doesn't spare him anything more
26:21than a fleeting glance
26:22and starts using his device to find something.
26:24He then runs the device on Hiro,
26:26and it starts beeping.
26:27The doctor asks him whether he has seen Sarah,
26:29and Hiro replies yes
26:30before asking how the doctor knows about her.
26:32The doctor looks at him
26:33and replies that he created her in the first place.
26:36Hiro replies that he found him in the desert,
26:37and she started following him
26:39after hearing his heartbeat.
26:40The doctor checks his heartbeat
26:41and tells him that his heartbeat
26:42is different from others
26:43because he doesn't have
26:44his own original heart anymore.
26:46He refuses to explain anymore.
26:48Hiro is able to free himself
26:49and tries to strangle the doctor,
26:50but he is so weak
26:51that the doctor doesn't even notice him
26:52for a very long time,
26:53and as soon as he sees him,
26:55he simply throws him on the floor.
26:57Hiro accepts that he is a pathetic loser
26:58and basically cries to the doctor
27:00that he cares about Sarah,
27:01and that if he stays here,
27:03she will get sad.
27:04The doctor really cares about Sarah,
27:05so he gives him a potion
27:06and tells him to drink it
27:07and focus on Sarah.
27:08He does so,
27:09and suddenly he starts floating in the air
27:11before suddenly falling from the sky,
27:13right near Sarah and the others,
27:14who are trying to figure out
27:15where he was captured.
27:16He tells them that they have to leave
27:18as soon as possible.
27:19They all go back to a cave
27:20where they spend the night,
27:21and the next morning,
27:22Hiro tells them about everything
27:23that happened once they got separated.
27:25He told them about how he was saved
27:26by an old doctor,
27:27who seemed to know Sarah
27:28and must have deeply cared for her,
27:30as he only let him go for Sarah's sake.
27:32Just then,
27:33Sarah points out that ever since yesterday,
27:34Hiro has been smelling like daddy,
27:36which excites Hiro a bit,
27:38but then he realizes
27:39she is talking about the doctor,
27:40as he is her creator,
27:41so her dad.
27:42He tells them about the conversation
27:43between him and the doctor,
27:45where the doctor told Hiro
27:46that his heart is not his own
27:47and he is using someone else's heart right now,
27:50which is inhumanly strong.
27:51Jiru's face suddenly loses its color.
27:54Hiro asks what's wrong,
27:55and Jiru sheepishly replies
27:56that for the past couple of years
27:57he has been reading up on magical scriptures,
28:00even though he cannot perform any magic.
28:02He wanted to learn as much as possible
28:03about the incident that killed Hiro's parents.
28:06He wanted to know every detail,
28:07so that if the time came to seal the dragon again,
28:09he would succeed in doing so.
28:11Another reason for him studying magic
28:12was because he was extremely surprised
28:14by the fact that Hiro,
28:15a six-year-old boy,
28:16survived that horrible disaster
28:17while hundreds of other gifted magicians
28:19and soldiers died.
28:20He has been working on a theory,
28:22and when Hiro told him about the doctor's statement,
28:24his theory gained more weight.
28:25He replies that he believes the heart
28:27that Hiro currently has belongs
28:28to the evil dragon Zod.
28:30Hiro looks up at him
28:31and tells him to never make a joke like that again,
28:33but Jiru tells him to hear him out once.
28:35He replies that he believes
28:36that when the disaster occurred
28:37and the dragon was going to kill Hiro,
28:39his father casts a very strong
28:40and very dark protection magic
28:42that protected Hiro,
28:43but at a cost.
28:44His heart got interchanged with the dragon's heart,
28:46and that is where he got the scar from.
28:48He tells them that this theory makes the most sense,
28:50especially after he noticed
28:51that when the dragon appeared in the last city,
28:53he protected Hiro from anything
28:55that might take his life.
28:56Hiro attacked him,
28:57but the dragon merely swatted him away,
28:59even though he could have very easily killed Hiro.
29:01And when the soldiers shot arrows at him,
29:02the dragon defended him.
29:04Hiro goes pale hearing it
29:05and asks Jiru whether what he is saying is the truth.
29:08Jiru looks him straight in the eye
29:09and says yes, he believes so.
29:11He believes that the dragon's heart
29:12is sealed within Hiro's,
29:14and Hiro's heart is sealed within the dragon,
29:16giving them matching scars on their chests.
29:19And that was also the reason
29:19why Hiro suddenly felt an overwhelming boost in power
29:22when he was getting tortured
29:23as all the anger in the dragon's heart
29:25turned into strength,
29:25and finally it burst,
29:27resulting in Hiro getting converted
29:28into a dragon form temporarily.
29:31Hiro gets very broody
29:32and goes outside to brood alone
29:33like the emo boy he is.
29:35Jiru and Pal follow him
29:36and tell him not to worry about things too much.
29:39Hiro, however,
29:40replies that if what Jiru says is the truth,
29:42then the dragon and Hiro are connected to each other,
29:44and if either of them dies,
29:46the other dies with him.
29:47This makes Hiro's vow
29:48to avenge his parents borderline impossible,
29:50because if he is even able to kill the dragon,
29:52he will die nonetheless.
29:53Pal steps up his game and comforts Hiro.
29:55He tells him that a lot of magic is reversible in nature,
29:58and there is a good chance
29:59that the magic that binds both him
30:00and the dragon together can be reversed,
30:02and that could be possible
30:03with a very strong magician
30:04who has a very strong magical item.
30:07Hiro the simpleton immediately starts feeling hopeful
30:09and jumps up,
30:10saying that all they have to do
30:11is get the ore that belonged to his father back from Mambu,
30:14hand it over to a very strong magician,
30:16and ask him to heal Hiro,
30:17and the job is done.
30:19Then he can kill Zot and take his revenge.
30:21They start traveling once again,
30:22and while traveling,
30:23they reach an abandoned village
30:24that seems to be ravaged by an army.
30:26They are very confused
30:27as to what happened in the village
30:28as the wells were still working,
30:30and when an army attacked,
30:31they made sure that they dried out the wells
30:33so no one could come and settle down here again.
30:35They wander around in the village
30:37and find a lot of claw marks all over the place,
30:39and the place is littered with dead bodies.
30:41Giru seems to be very lost in his thoughts
30:43while he is here,
30:44and we get to know that this village
30:45once belonged to Giru.
30:46His father used to be the chief of the village
30:48who ended up marrying a human woman
30:49and having Giru with her.
30:51They were a happy family,
30:52but many members of their community
30:53did not like this interracial relationship
30:55and staged a kook once,
30:56which succeeded.
30:57They were able to capture both Giru's dad
30:59and his mom,
30:59but Giru was successfully able to hide from them.
31:02His parents were then killed,
31:03and he ran away from the village.
31:05That's when Hiro's parents rescued him,
31:06brought him back to their country,
31:08and treated him like one of their comrades,
31:10making him eternally grateful to them.
31:12They all start wandering around,
31:13and suddenly Tom starts screaming,
31:15runs out of the house,
31:15and tells everyone to run away,
31:17as the monster who did all this
31:18was still hiding in one of the houses.
31:20The monster emerges from the house,
31:21and Hiro is shocked to see
31:23that it is the same kind of monster
31:24that he saw Nanbu create earlier for the queen.
31:27I cannot believe how pathetic Hiro can be,
31:29and at this point he should just quit being a person,
31:31and maybe transform into an earthworm.
31:33He again rushes at the monster brainlessly to attack it,
31:35but he doesn't even have a sword with him,
31:37and the monster swats him away easily.
31:39Again, Giru is forced into a bad position,
31:42where he has to defeat the monster,
31:43while also protecting the loser, Hiro.
31:44He blocks the next attack of the monster,
31:47but he himself hasn't healed completely yet,
31:49and isn't at his full potential.
31:51Both the monster and Giru run at each other,
31:53and Giru swings his sword,
31:55but the monster dodges his blow and kicks him away.
31:57The monster then jumps at Hiro,
31:59but he dodges away, falling back.
32:01Tom screams at Hiro to transform into the temporary dragon form,
32:04and this huge idiot,
32:05who has no idea how he transformed in the first place,
32:08stands in front of the monster,
32:09and starts trying to convert into a dragon.
32:11It seriously looks like he has constipation when he is doing that,
32:14and the monster doesn't seem to appreciate this view,
32:16so he attacks him once again.
32:18Thankfully though, Giru runs up from behind,
32:20and slashes the monster into two,
32:21saving Hiro once again,
32:23while Hiro agrees heavily,
32:24knowing that the journey is getting dangerous,
32:26and will keep getting dangerous,
32:28and if he wants to survive and see the end of his saga,
32:30he needs to become stronger as fast as possible,
32:32because if anything happens to Giru,
32:34his entire party will perish.
