The Auburn Tigers found themselves down 17-0 early in the Iron Bowl. They fought back valiantly, but never could take the lead in the loss to Alabama.

00:01We just, it was several three and outs to start the game.

00:05And our defense was on the field quite a bit.

00:07And I think the drive I was talking about, you could tell we were discombobulated.

00:13We had the substitution error.

00:14We had just, it was just not, did not look like us.

00:17I really think other than that drive, it didn't happen.

00:20We played 30, I think 30 some snaps in the first quarter, which is a lot.

00:24So yeah, we just started slow, credit to our guys.

00:28They hung together and kept going.

00:30And we made some adjustments and started attacking them in a different way.

00:34We were just sloppy with the ball.

00:35There was too many drops and there was too many turnovers.

00:39That was my question.

00:40Like, what do you attribute, I mean, there was probably close to 10 drops.

00:43Obviously the fumbles, I mean, that was a very sloppy game.

00:46What do you attribute that to?

00:47I mean, anything that you can point to?

00:50I mean, those are guys that usually make those catches.

00:52And I don't know, I don't know.

00:55I, those guys were fighting like crazy.

00:57I think, you know, sometimes you strain so hard that, you know, little things, the routine,

01:01things like that, you don't execute on, but I don't have a great answer.

01:07DJ, I know that you like to defense play aggressive, but seven penalties on defense, some really

01:11costly ones that, you know, on third down stops potentially, anything to attribute those

01:16to?

01:17Yeah, I'm going to have to go back and look at them.

01:18I know some of those were close plays.

01:19I mean, the P.I. on Sly, I don't know.

01:23I have to go back and look at them.

01:24I, our guys, they were, they were competing and playing aggressive, but we're never going

01:27to change that or stop that.

01:28We're always going to be the ones swinging.

01:30And if, if stuff happens, it happens, but, you know, there, there's a lot of great third

01:35down stops too.

01:36And, you know, the, the, the one on Xavier, the, the roughing the quarterback, he looked low.

01:41I thought he got blocked into him, but again, I go back and watch that.

01:43But I don't know exactly how that was.
