00:00Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman will once again be joining each other on screen in Ryan Murphy's
00:04upcoming movie version of the Broadway musical The Prom for Netflix. The Hollywood Reporter has
00:09confirmed that the film adaptation of the musical will have a star-studded cast that also includes
00:14Awkwafina, James Corden, Keegan-Michael Key, and Andrew Rannells. Streep is set to play the
00:19character of two-time Tony winner Dee Dee Allen. Corden will play Barry Glickman, both of whom see
00:24their play on Eleanor Roosevelt bashed by the New York Times. And Kidman will take on the role of
00:28Angie Dickinson, a veteran chorus girl. Now, all three of these actors have movie musical
00:33experience, from Streep portraying Donna in Mamma Mia and Mamma Mia 2.

01:10relationship between an Indiana teenager who wants to bring her girlfriend to her school's
01:14big dance. Instead, they're banned from attending, only to see a cast of Broadway
01:18eccentrics band together to help fight the injustice. Murphy is adapting the Broadway show as the
