00:16The couple kept the intimate details of their relationship out of the public eye. However,

00:25they weren't shy about their admiration for each other. In a conversation with The Hollywood

00:29Reporter Scott Feinberg on the Awards Chatter podcast published Monday, Lawrence revealed

00:33how the pair's relationship began.

00:35I had a crush on him when he pitched to me, and that was like a year before we started

00:39rehearsing. But he was a professional, which only made it worse for me. She continued,

00:43So he just kind of formed a friendship. He knew how I felt. He never told me how he felt.

00:48I mean, I assumed. But we just formed a friendship. And then the friendship turned into a partnership

00:53for the movie once we started working. And then, when the movie was done, I was like,

00:57all right, you're my boyfriend. And he was like, all right, I'm your boyfriend.

01:00Lawrence also spoke about their relationship in her Vogue September issue cover story, saying,

01:06I've been in relationships before where I am just confused, and I'm never confused with him.

01:11The actress had previously dated actor Nicholas Holt. Aronofsky dated actress Rachel Weiss
