00:00South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are geared up for the new season of their
00:11Comedy Central cartoon, maybe even more than fans realize. Following a rough 20th season
00:16that became disjointed due in part to the outcome of the presidential election, the duo is ready
00:21for a fresh start. Unlike previous seasons, last year's 10 episodes had an overarching theme,
00:27which was Garrison as Trump. However, it was assumed Hillary Clinton would be elected president,
00:32which would allow Garrison to return to form. When that didn't happen, the guys were stuck.
00:36Parker told The Hollywood Reporter,
00:40Stone added,
00:57So, what will viewers see in this new season? As most fans know, the South Park crew works on each new episode
01:12the week of air, so details aren't set. But Parker says he was a fan of Cartman having a significant other,
01:18Heidi Turner. We don't want her to go away, but I really liked in the end that he was now a dude
01:23stuck in a relationship. It's too soon to tell about member berries, the adorable little fruit stuck
01:28in the past and always reminding each other how great things used to be. According to Parker,
01:32now that Spielberg is doing Ready Player One, which is like the most member berry thing ever invented,
01:37we can't out-member berry that. All the member berries left our show to go beyond that.
01:42South Park season 21 premieres on September 13th. For the full interview with Stone and Parker,
