Netflix's 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' is getting into the holiday spirit with a special episode that's part of the streamer's Christmas blitz.

00:04that's part of Netflix's Christmas Blitz. The special, titled Midwinter's Tale, is set to drop

00:08Friday, December 14. The episode is set during the Church of Night celebration of the winter

00:13solstice and will largely focus on the solstice celebration, but elements of it will be part of

00:18the series' continuity. The show's regular cast members lead Keenan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Lucy

00:23Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Prodomo, Jazz Sinclair, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph,

00:28Abigail Cohen, and Lachlan Watson are all set to appear in the special. Chilling Adventures of

00:33Sabrina debuted on October 26 on Netflix. After initially being developed for The CW, the series

00:38came to the streaming service with a two-season, 20-episode order, and a release date for season

00:42two has yet to be announced. Sabrina is produced by Warner Bros. for Netflix, with both companies

00:47recently facing a $50 million lawsuit from the Satanic Temple, which alleges the series has

00:52infringed copyright and defamed its deity, Baphomet, by featuring imagery in an unflattering light.

00:57The Satanic Temple claims that the Netflix series' prominent use of this symbol as a central

01:02focal point of the school associated with evil, cannibalism and murder, blows and tarnishes
