Snoop Dogg just made a big announcement. The rapper says he's dropping smoking. He wrote on Instagram, "After much consideration and conversation with my family, I've decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time."

00:09Fans were baffled by the statement and were quick to wonder,
00:18is this a joke?
00:19They commented on the post,
00:21I'm waiting for the plot twist.
00:22And two days from now, he's going to say his account got hacked.
00:25Snoop couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
00:27It's worth noting the statement doesn't say Snoop Dogg is giving up cannabis per se,
00:32as edibles are obviously a popular option.
00:34The 50-year-old marijuana advocate has business ties to various edibles and weed strains.
00:39He once said he smokes 81 joints a day and has a personal blunt roller.
00:43Snoop previously said earlier this year that he's cutting down on smoking after becoming a grandfather.
00:47He told the Daily Mail in March,
00:49Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways.
00:52The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move,
00:55the kind of people I'm associated with,
00:57because I want to see my grandkids grow old.
00:59The only way I can do that is to take precautionary steps as far as how I move,
