00:10Gunn said on Twitter a decade ago to get him fired from Disney now, but he still defended

00:15the Marvel director and writer if Gunn was in fact just joking. Gunn was fired as the director

00:20of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in late July after Trump supporters unearthed old tweets of his

00:26that contained comments about rape and pedophilia. Gunn, a vocal opposer of the president,

00:31said the posts were jokes meant to be provocative and he apologized. In an interview with the New York

00:36Times posted on Wednesday, the comedian in Cars Getting Coffee host shared his opinion on the scandal.

00:42Seinfeld said,

00:56Barr was also fired from Disney weeks before Gunn from her self-titled ABC sitcom reboot

01:02for a racist tweet she posted. Seinfeld made it clear to the Times that he has never apologized

01:07for a joke, and he never will, saying,

01:15Meanwhile, Pratt continued his defense of Gunn, telling the Associated Press this in an interview

01:21posted on Wednesday.

01:22We all love James and he's a good friend of ours, but we also really love playing the

01:27Guardians of the Galaxy. It's a complicated situation for everybody.

01:30And Glenn Close, who co-starred in the first Guardians film, said this on the latest episode

01:35of the HFPA In Conversation podcast,

01:37I felt sad. I felt sad certainly for James and I felt sad for the whole situation. I felt sad

01:43that we're in a society where on social media people say things that they might not say in

01:47person. She added,

01:48When I worked with him, it was the first time I had been in a movie like that, and he was

01:53a really good director and he had a great atmosphere on set.
